  1. Ive had tyres refitted over 10 times and never had an issue. Never had one leak air or not seal.Only thing i notice is as the tyre ages i need levers to put it on (i can usually pop a new tyre on just with my hands) and an oldish tyre needs a few extra psi to put on the rim. Turds can be a bit of a nuisance, ive had the odd one leak while popping on at around 40psi but usually when let back down to 4, they reseal.

He obviously broke the rules in some form to warrant disqualification. And im not criticising JP, he obviously rode well, and yes, he could have, very unlucky and his comments on his ride were spot on. Im critising the comment made by GGUK, i felt it was disrespectful.

Don't need to have ridden the scott. Its a trial, and ive ridden 100s, including timed events. If i hadn't of knocked that marker out If i didn't go the wrong way in that section If that observer didn't give me a 5 for a stop If i didn't get that puncture All in the name of the game! They count the winners at the checker flag, not at half time, or half race distance, or minus this section. Job NOT done!!

That must be it then. I read that if you "deliberately" not follow the course you can be disqualified, but i imagine JP didn't "deliberately" not follow it. I see theres a few sour grapes from GGUK, boasting that JP would have won even if he was given a 5 for that section. "It's satisfying to know that looking at the section by section analysis Jack would have won even he had fived the missed section. With 1 mark on time and a maximum of 26 on observation that was job done. That's a fact and not an excuse." Job done? Thats kinda funny. Don't think they were taking into account the time he gained by not riding the section.

Is the rules for the scott different? It says its run under the rules and regulations of the ACU, which state if you miss a section you incur 10 marks, not exclusion. Richmond club don't have the regulations on their website
  6. I wouldn't waste my time with zinc. I've a couple of bikes I did recently and after 5 years they look crap. Granted they are ridden pretty regularly. Have went with stainless ever since

Yeah, just like last year ?
  8. A month ago it would have been more of a gamble. Any contracts written now, or lack of, "should" be a good indication of their intentions.
  9. We still talking about crash helmets here?
  10. Brookfield garage is in stowmarket, but I've no idea on what kind of stock they have. What i do, is try a few hats on that i like the look of at a trial (usually during a long queue), ive never had someone refuse me trying their hat on, take a note of the size and then buy online.

    TR280 fuel cap

A cork, a block of balsa, a ball of masking tape, a cut down exhaust bung, they are just threads so should be pretty easy to seal
  12. Or keep eating pies until you fill out your pants without the need for a buckle ?
  13. I would try to contact s3. Probably some cheap chinese part. They are known as ladder straps. https://www.ratchetingbuckles.com/ratchet-buckles-ladder-straps/0-75-push-receptor-w-strap-pr75-c/
  14. Speedway use 3.75x19. You could use one at a pinch for maybe a display bike or just arsing about. If you want to be competitive, you will have to accommodate a 4 inch
  15. I like someone thinking outside the box. Braking power however is already limited, i doubt you could pull a good endo if your braking power is now split in half. How about a thumb brake. Mick Doohan was and Doviziosi, Petrucci, and Tom Sykes currently are users of this setup. AFAIK, the brembo setup on the motogp bikes has both the foot lever and thumb lever connected to the rear brake so you can control it from either. Combining the brakes off one lever isn't a great idea, but there could be justification in repositioning it to the bars. The problem is, trials requires far more frequent use of the clutch than road racing. Are you a good piano player?
  16. Good news i think, judging by how committed KTM are with the Husqvarna brand
  17. Thats my point, most people i know who are using ATF are using it to fix clutch problems, and possibly (we will leave it at this) compromising other parts of their engine. Fix your clutch the correct way, but as for clutch feel, thats personal opinion i guess. ATF makes a clutch too grabby for my liking Id prefer a 0W oil than ATF
  18. Sorry guys, i disagree but that's ok. I have a GG so an overly thin oil with extra detergents that is also used for oiling the main bearings is an absolute no go for me. Literally heard the consequences of running ATF in gasgass. Most people i know who run ATF do it to fix their draggy clutch, while ignoring the detrimental effects it has on everything else. Just fix the clutch instead and then you can run an oil that will provide you with a bike that still sounds good in 5 years. Ive tried ATF numerous times, never liked what it did to the feel of the clutch
  19. Never knew my bike had planetary gears, learn something every day
  20. How convenient. You're banned.... but since you've already served your banning while not being banned, you're free to compete. What a joke
  21. Inappropriate usage, the clues in the name.
  22. Whenever i hear someone using ATF in a gearbox i laugh
  23. Yet you ride your vintage trial bike WFO? ?
  24. I went from a 45 gaerne with thick socks to a 44 sidi with thin socks because the 45 sidis just felt very bulky, outwardly. Id kind of agree with you though and say they are a more snug fit than a 44 gaerne, but it could most likely be because they are a less flexible boot
