  1. saw what??
  2. essex rider replied to telecat's topic in Beta
If it is a four banger it'll probably have the ktm engine used in their enduro range. Cant they manufacture a rev 3 (2 stroke) and a rev 4 (4 stroke)?? Ill send an email to beta, doubt they will reply but who knows??
  3. essex rider replied to bob's topic in Beta
How does moderately tight sound?? If you email john lampkin or the beta factory i think you can get a list of the settings. However im going on holiday to italy and may pop into the beta factory so will pick up a list of torque specs and some goodies whilst there!!
  4. apart from you
  5. I imagine that they are quite difficult as unless you are a rabbit or eat lots of carrots you wont be able to see..........hmmmm glow in the dark markers No seriously the evening ones are apparently easier due to people taking less effort in riding (just want to get away from the missus)

The putoline stuff i get doesnt have a spout It stinks though but seems to do its job. To avoid starting a new topic what sae oil should i use in my beta? The manual says 75w and websites say 30-40w im so conufesd
  7. No thats what we do with cars- leave them on a farmers field on fire!!
  8. with my mates DT50 exhaust we filled it up with petrol and left it to soak then set fire to it for fun That cleaned it good! As for the mid-pipe having packing in it, i alsways thought there was a mesh type stuff inside it-no packing??
  9. i always thought that my 20" megamo felt more like my motorbike. Sooo much easier and as for the pinch flats i always found 20" wheels to be less of a problem than 26" Go for a megamo/monty as they are much better quality than any of the others
  10. I see you have the trialcast footpegs on there now (GOOD) I bet those zip ties holding the board on arent as good as mine, Carbon fibre effect and undooable BEAT THAT!
  11. essex rider replied to charlie's topic in Gas Gas
I know, just remove as much of that crappy grease that comes with them and change it for waterproof stuff
  12. WELL that ones up for debate
  13. essex rider replied to charlie's topic in Gas Gas
Boiling water and a blow torch always mean they near enough fall out. With the new bearings gently prise seals off and put some waterproof grease inside. Simple :boldblue:
  14. Well who pi**ed in your cornflakes this morning?? The construction yard one is definitely more realistic as the gas gas can snap in it!!
  15. The car shop i took mine to blew it up to 70psi before it would seat. If you do inflate it high, hide round a corner in case it does explode!
  16. essex rider replied to jetset's topic in Beta
No offence but this doesnt make a lot of sense. The betas are all pretty similar and most parts fit other bikes. A little used 02 is better than a nackered 03 isnt it?? Me and stu both have 02's for sale and they both appear to be in better condition than the doggish 03's on ebay etc
  17. essex rider replied to gasgasthermo's topic in Four-Stroke
Whats a 4-art?? If its the montesa 4rt you are thinking of, the 125 wouldnt work very well i dont think?
  18. essex rider replied to jetset's topic in Beta
Have you sold that yet kinell?? I would consider buying it if it didnt turn all by itself and if the price was to suddenly drop to
  19. I too always ride sections in 2nd, even more since i dropped 2 teeth from the front sprocket. It gives a good halfway between the old 1st and 2nd so it will climb aswell as having the go for a step etc
  20. essex rider replied to chipy's topic in Sherco
Just put water in if you arent going to ride for very long
  21. Do you know who this rider is?? Ive also seen a cotswold with a bsa engine in and it sounded lovely Both the one in the video and the bsa one were at the phil king trial on sunday!
  22. I feel that there is too bigger gap between classes. For example the intermediate class have no hopping or skipping just tight turns, big climbs etc yet the expert route there is hopping about and big steps and drops. I feel that the intermediate riders arent prepared for the expert route. There is however a class where half inter and half expert are ridden but this is only recently i think.
  23. essex rider replied to sherco 125's topic in Scorpa
On the SSDT entry list it said that he was riding a 4t scorpa.
  24. Including frame stickers etc??
  25. Get practising on these as i find that there are lots in the summer months as there is so much grip. As for the fan thing mine runs all the time as i dont trust my semi-broken thermostat. Have you put anything on the frame yet eg carbon fibre??
