  1. Could be right since 02 Perce - not sure - When did the caliper move inside the swinging arm? I had it in my mind that it was 04, but could easily be wrong? There's been other threads about this - I'll have a search.
  2. It's a truly British trait to reject the prospect of doing some good for someone in favour of being miserable. We'll probably get loads of people saying it's a day of rememberance etc etc etc, and they may have valid arguments. How many of those will go nowhere near a rememberance service, not manage the one/two minutes silence at 11 oclock, not take part in any act of rememberance whatsoever, and possibly not even buy a poppy. There is nothing wrong with people remembering the dead in their own way. There is a lot of people who would like to remember them in a different way - and no, I'm not saying trials in particular. It's funny how much money is spent on remembrance, not least the 2 weeks of parades we used to go through in the forces to prepare for it - surely this sort of effort could be put to better use? So....that's probably going off on a bit of a tangent, but....when someone makes a suggestion which would raise money for a good cause, rightly or wrongly, surely they deserve a better answer than NO ?
  3. Someone mentioned today they'd got a kit for about
  4. The >04 Sherco is definitely different to most other wheels. The disc is about 8mm further in. Well it better be, otherwise I could have bought any one of about 8 other wheels that wouldn't have cost me an arm and a leg Maybe something could be done to fit a Sherco wheel to a Gasser with spacers, the other way round it needed the hub turning down a bit and I wasn't up for it
  5. Come on endo....it's common knowledge that the white dog **** didn't stick to sticks, much too crumbly. The really sad thing is I think I might be right
  6. And one other thing you'll notice is that with some people, text talk or not, it looks like text talk. Sorry BB it had to be done Welcome aboard

    New Sherco

Welsh Championship tomorrow then Ian??? And ....never realy noticed before, but not really noticed the amount of lock on a bike for years. Does anybody ever use full lock any more, or just hop it round anyway
  9. I'm not sure how your proposal fits in with this requirement. It seems to over complicate things, and create an event where anyone can have a ride round a course in the morning where two thirds of the sections may not be suitable, then watch somebody else ride in the afternoon. Not sure we'd get too many entries in the UK for an event like that - may be different in US. If you want the 125 class, why over complicate the proposal, why not just propose a separate 125 class? That's a serious question, I'm not trying to split hairs, I haven't got many as it is.
  10. Hmmmmm....Looks like a serious attempt. Pegs look a bit low? Where's the pic from???? I never even heard a rumour, apart from about a year ago, someone mentioning summat and it died off. Any more info???
  11. That could be reworded: "Who is brave enough to agree with me?" You have some valid points, but you dropped below the bar on that one. If one or two of your boys really wanted to compete in Europe and progress to the World scene, I reckon they could put themselves on a pedestal by competing in their own national championship on a 125. I don't know, but I reckon someone like Wiggy could put up a good fight against the US boys on their bigger bikes even riding his 125. If your boys are serious about the world scene then maybe that would prove it to the factories.
  12. You lot winding me up? If you'd pay 3 grand for it, I'd sell you it I'm not taking anything away from the engineering, it looks like a work of arc, and the frame colour looks nice enough........er can't think of owt else. Where were you lot in the days my old dad used to try and sell on the bikes he'd bought from the shop with the big windows? In fact he's recently bought a "Champ 175". It's yours for errrr..... 3 grand
  13. Need a hand on Saturday, I've found the key, I reckon I can get free from my shackles for the day The A&B Championship is run along side the adults NWSherco, same course.

  17. Yep - Most seem to do it. I normally knock it in to gear and put both brakes half on for a bit. Soon clears, and with the sudden stop you can performa neat forward roll over the bars. Gets you used to falling off for the day. Not something that is worth trying to fix.
  18. Yep, that works out about the same as I used, 60ml per 5 litres, fully synthetic. <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> are fairly close to you I think (Royston, Barnsley) <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central.
  19. Warm the hub with a hairdryer. The Hub is not very strong and can easily get damaged if the bearing isnt drifted squarely. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thought there might be a more appropriate engineering method What the fe<k would the likes of you or I be doing with a hairdryer
  20. I don't know of anything in your area, our locals will be a hike for you. Best bet is to have a search through Trials and Motocross News for a nearby one. Any of the larger ones I would think will have finance available. Any Londoners on here? What you got down there? Stevens? Click Here Jamsport down Surrey way? Click Here
  21. Get a flat blade screwdriver in from the other side and bash it out. If you can get a little bit of movement, ease it out at the other edge so it comes out sort of even. They normally pop out OK. Dunno if this is the recommended method (probably not) but you only wreck the bearings and they're chucked away anyway. Oh and possibly the screwdriver I usually knock them back in by laying a block of wood on top of them. I'm going to get ear ache for this one aren't I
  22. Bank loans are usually cheaper than any finance deal - Northern Rock and Alliance and Leicester regularly come out on top, not really up to date on them, but probably around 6%. If you're really organised you could get a credit card such as a Barclaycard, buy the bike, transfer to a 0% card for maybe 6-9 months, and keep shifting between 0% cards until it's paid off. Around 36 months and you're done. Not many people are that organised, and you need a bit of credit history, so for most people it's a pie in the sky idea! If you do decide to gamble with 0%, watch out for transfer fees, and make sure you sort out your direct debits - you can lose your 0% rate by missing a payment. Go for the bank loan if you have the luxury - careful you don't get it nicked uninsured and pay for three years for your ex-bike.
  23. I know it's hardly a core part of the bike, but maybe some of you saw my recent post where I bought a 290 2T rear mudguard and I got a 4T mudguard (with the vent holes). Well I'm told that they're only doing the ones with the vent holes, so for the 2 stroke you can just stick the stickers over to cover the holes??? Well that was what I had done as a bodge - and i thought I'd stick some fibreglass behind it maybe - I never expected it to be the factory answer. Nothing too conclusive, but maybe another clue.
  24. i ve got a lever you can have i think <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have? That sounds like a bargain PM me a price if you manage to dig it out - Cheers Dabster. Mine has been bent so much it takes me 15 minutes to get my foot on it. Are the Beta rumours true then?
