  1. What's an airbox cover? Just spoke to the bloke selling the kit (James). The rear brake lever has gone (I was after that). The airbox is still there and the brass inserts are perfect, but..the airbox has been modified for a 28mm flat slide carb, although the original stub is there if you want to get it hot welded back. Sorry - didn't check price, but the brake lever was reasonable.
  2. Yep - I agree. Most people would be verging on being a right prima donna if they even thought that thy might need the extra manouverability that having no seat gives you. Christ, my legs don't bend enough any more to get down that low. I can dab about 5 foot below the bike at the moment, but rarely have to. Would be good to get the option on more of the bikes.
  3. How come you wanna see this Dan bloke in a one piece Andy?

  5. Don't suppose they could move our Novogar round off my lads birthday? Bit awkward No suppose not
  6. Phwoar - look at April - 3 Novogars in 3 weeks - not complaining, but I can feel the pain. Be interesting to see how the Wallace sets the tone for the year. Victory is pretty sensible (in my books), then Chris Carter. Will the Yorkshire folk be able to tone it down, enough for a fat knacker like me to be able to walk again before the Lomax
  7. I don't like to join in with the majority argument and pound the underdog, but I agree with Woody. If you're going to allow disc brakes, then why not just allow monoshocks, after all the rider is the bit that counts? I'm sure that Steve Saunders on an original twinshock would still pound most of our club riders on modern machines. That doesn't make much sense of your argument. I don't mean that to sound bitchy, so please don't take offense, but the pre-65 has turned in to a joke and the twin-shock could go the same way without some clear boundaries.
  8. For most of us that's alright Mark. Some people don't ride with the same sense of fun. It's the same in the pre-65, particularly with the top riders. I don't know why the top riders can't take a sense of pride in riding an 'almost' standard bike. I can understand some mods made for reliability reasons (electronic ignition), and mods that were done with the original bikes in their prime, but turning a cub in to a modern bike with triumph stickers on it???? etc etc etc The same will always happen - it's not the sensible ones that need regulating.
  9. I've only just realised who Desperado is. I was worried, because he knew me and I didn't have any ammunition I'll have you know I'm down to a spritely 18 stone so - Calm it Beedles! In a battle of wits I could never shoot an unarmed man, so you're safe for now
  10. Do you not find too much sh*t getting in there Dave? I've seen some metal mesh on the 4 strokes. How does that fit? I've got the 2T stickers on now. Maybe I just use a Stanley Knife and cut the holes out? Or, I was thinking of leaving the stickers over the holes and pasting in some fibre glass or summat behind to seal the hole? Thoughts? The Canada thing is progressing slowly. Considering engaging a Canadian lawyer at the moment to progress our application. Couple of grand if we choose that way on top of the grand application money, so weighing everything up. Also considering engaging a bloody British lawyer if the other half doesn't cheer up, but we won't mention that at the moment
  11. Thanks Charlie - amazing how you can overlook the simple things.

    Yikes!

Found it: Horse would be handy too!

    Yikes!

I think it is real. I've seen it before. There are three brothers that do it. One of them is a right show off. I'll dig out the photo if I can.
  14. Sod the rocks! You know what beer is! Errr...sorry bad argument....forget that

    Bit Of Bling!

Thought I'd shove a new mudguard on the Sherco (04). The one I've bought is certainly different to my previous one. Is this the 320 mudguard or summat? With the vents in it, or maybe the 05? Anybody put a finger on it. I've got 04 stickers on it and looks bloody awkward - reckon the stickers will be off in no time too. Not even tried it on the bike yet, just got my bike back home - anybody? Cheers
  16. That's a good test of the true spirit of the rider. If I had a twinshock with discs I'd be happy to ride in these trials, see my name in the results, just to see how i would have done, but see OOC (out of class) next to my name and no award. Stops the pot hunters.
  17. Wouldn't be competitive anyway
  18. Low North would be a hell of a place for it! Immediate success. Hang on...still got snakes there?
  19. Real good read - I'm easily bored, but read the whole thing! I won't comment on the web design as I'm terrible so it would mean nothing Video's didn't work for me in Firefox ??? but do in IE, that may be a plug in I've not got, but usually OK. One thing that I thought would be good - I was tempted to click on all your photo's to enlarge them - an option maybe????
  20. I'd have to add one vote for the TY250. I never actually had one - I was a Fantic man at the time. The 301 Fantic was nice, and fairly hardy, but the TY250 (which I rode in one trial, but was beaten by one in many) was the all round package. Just been racking my brains to remember who it used to be - Richard Brown from Great Ayton - bugger (among others ).
  21. Come on chaps - Nowt wrong with a bit of innocent gossip, especially when it's quite obviously just wild guessing games. He even suggests one of two bikes, just for starters. Maybe he fell off? Maybe it's a carpet burn? Maybe he burnt it on the oven while taking out his sausage rolls. Maybe pi**ed up, he put it on backwards
  22. There's more novices than owt else at a lot of trials these days, and usually very welcoming. Just get involved and chatting. Once you realise that 50% of the entry are bluffers you'll do fine
  23. No results yet? The bloke working the laptop at the trial (sorry didn't catch his name) said they should be with TrialsCentral by Sunday night. Not complaining - I know what it's like after the trial, reintroducing yourself in to the family and all. Just checking I haven't missed them somewhere?
