  1. Gas Gas North America (GGNA) is solely owned subsidiary of Torrot. I believe it is the only Gas Gas Distributor directly owned. This has become the KTM Model for National Distributors, and Torrot decided to do it for the North America. So if Torrot is putting the brakes on... GGNA is going to feel it more directly the other independent importers.
  2. I've ridden both, and I'd say the TRS 250 RR, is softer power than the Beta 250 standard model. I ride a Scorpa 125 Factory.
  3. He won his class this weekend, so must be working for now.....
  4. I'm with lineaway on this..... I rode a TRS RR with the Curves and liked them. I bought a pair for my '18 Scorpa and there was a short period of adjustment, but they have improved my riding. I'm a short rider at 5'6", so it helps me get over the front of the bike more, as Pat states in the video.
  5. A long shot, but you tried both ends, so now try what links them..... Switch out the clutch hose, as there could be some internal manufacturing flaw in the line.
  6. Tryals Shop in the USA has them. http://www.tryalsshop.com/
  7. Maybe doing that road jump he posted on IG a few days ago?!?
  8. Martin Belair says Repsol Factory Team door swings one way.... No matter what Bou thinks of Busto or how good his chances are of a World Championship, he's not going back in that door.
  9. Torrot is pulling the purse strings tight on Gas Gas. Factory Team is pulling back from Enduro World Championship, and now this. Worldwide sales are below targets, and GG is looking to cut costs. They want to furlough 50 or so factory employees, due to this lack of sales. I think Torrot is beginning to question whether an "Electric Urban Mobility Company" is a good fit, with an "Off Road Motorcycle Company"? Busto will ride for Vertigo this season, but I'd venture he'll be back to Montesa/Honda, just as soon as Fuji retires.....

    Predictions

I'd put some money on Dan Thorpe, after his Pre '65 win. Looks pretty dry, so maybe some of the young guy will rise to the top.
  11. Planning on being there for Sunday!
  12. I had a Michelin tubeless on my TY175, and it wouldn't stay beaded at low pressure. I switched to a tube type IRC.
  13. NYACT Galway Trial is your neck of the woods.....
  14. See from your post on NETA thread, that you must be from the east side of Upstate.
  15. Welcome. Lots of trials riding in upstate NY! Lots of smaller series these days... You can ride a trial almost every weekend from April to October. We practice ride at the Tryals Shop 3 days a week. I just shoveled a bunch of snow, so we can ride today. Enjoy that bike. Trials is a blast!
  16. Need new twinshock trials bike to save WTC.... could you expand on that thought. I'm not really understanding?
  17. Everybody rides the same line at the Scottish and the Scott.
  18. Look at the growth of the new World Enduro Super Series (WESS), compared to the FIM World Enduro Championship (EWC). Husqvarna and KTM has pulled their factory teams out of EWC, to compete in WESS. The big difference is that in WESS.... Clubman riders can compete at some level, in at least part of all the events, whereas EWC is an exclusive event for just a few professional riders. Some WESS events use a prologue or knock out format, so the final is pretty exclusive, but all riders got to try. WESS is actually multi discipline, not just hard enduros.... It has hard enduro, cross country, traditional enduro, and beach races. Trials could create such series.... Maybe the SSDT and the Scott could be the core events. 3 Day Trial Santigosa in Spain and UTE Cup in the US. But not just longer format trials.... you could add an urban trial and shorter format trials. The main point would be to set them up that all level of riders could compete. Yes this would be complicated, as the lowest and highest level riders can't ride the same line, but multiple gates are the norm now.
  19. LOL! Since the British did not invent indoor trials and the Spanish did.... Easy to say, but why not extend the day.... Afternoon "X-Trial 2" class event and top 3 riders qualify for next X-Trial event on the calendar. Then you could rotate 3 new riders into the next X-Trial 2 event. Stretch out the X-Trial field to 15 riders... 8 permanent, 4 event riders, and the 3 X-Trial 2 qualified, from the previous event. If they perform better than the event riders, they are the event riders at the next round. This might be better than one young Trial2 level rider, being the 25 point sacrificial lamb at each round... More room for top riders and more room for up and comers, with a way to pick the best young riders to take a shot at the top class and not humiliate themselves.
  20. More just a rhetorical musing, than anything. I don't see it happening either.
  21. I don't know if you'll be around early September, but Don usually rides the Richford Trophy M&M Trial in NY. http://www.britanniamotorcycles.com/MandMTrial/2019 Flyer.htm
  22. Trials 2 outdoors, but I think he might rise up a level indoors with stop allowed.
  23. The addition of the plural in brackets, seems to make it less clear. Maybe that is the intention. 6 of 9 riders were Spanish in last round. 4 of 5 Permanent (Championship) riders Spanish. They are the best riders, but sure doesn't make for much variety. I know he doesn't like to travel, but Pat Smage could probably do well with the X-Trial rules.
  24. "4. A Rider from the FIM X-Trial or TrialGP World Championship of the previous year and of a nationality other than the one (s) represented above. (Gelabert)" That rule wouldn't seem to apply to Gelabert, as he is Spanish.
  25. I hope your situation improves, and look forward to when you can return.
