Might be an idea to take a pattern from the repaired sidepanels for future use (yours or somebody elses).
How are you doing with the top triple clamp?

Will you please behave yourselves: Naked woman plunges through roof of Aberdeen bldg

Dave, somebody posted a Bulto M10 model on ozVMX a while ago but I can't find it now, can you remember seeing it? The accuracy was uncanny and without any scale reference I thought it was the real thing.
-
I think most of the recent Gasser changes have been motivated by cost savings, e.g. change from chrome/nickel plated frame to powder coated and from oval frame tubes to standard 7/8" round tube.
Apart from that, just the annual BNG, oh, and a new airbox for 2011. Gassers work and get results. Why change?
-
Oh, my eyes! I've gorn bacon rhind!
What next? Dawn French in a leotard?

Doesn't it seem like yesterday when young Toni won his first?
Felicitats Toni.
-
How's Elliot doing? Is he still as mad as a cut snake?
Probably is the same venue Tony. It has been used as a national venue in the past.
The sections in the pics are known to us as "Braithwaites find" 'cause in 20 odd years Pete had never ventured down there but Ian did and found those peaches. Ian would go up and down them in training for the Scottish.
I hope that Pete and Kev do well from the Ossa deal.

I am gob and smacked! Thank goodness for people like you and your talents. Without your type our sport would be so much poorer.
(I drink Cascade, a Tassie beer BTW).

-
Hmm, very close to an absolutely brilliant riding venue.

He hasn't posted for nearly two months. Anybody know if he's OK?
-
Whatever floats your boat Wayne.
-
All future england matches have been moved to the gay adult channel. Apparently the sight of 11 a***holes getting hammered for 90 minutes is far to explicit for normal tv.
-
Wasn't me gov! Makes for interesting reading though John. Gasser are quite healthy.
I'm sceptical about the bike in the pic. If you watch the development of gasser frames over the last few years they've become simpler and cheaper. Chrome plating is three times more expensive than powder coating. Chrome plating was ditched. Oval tubing is expensive. 7/8" tubing is much cheaper. Oval tubing was dumped. Look at the enduro bikes, the 2010's use doubled up 7/8" tubing. Velly clever says I. So why should gasser go for a more complex chassis?
-
Yeah but that includes enduro bikes. The pie chart on the following slide shows that breakdown (55%-45% ish, enduro to trials respectively). Gasser's one of the larger manufacturers so you can extrapolate from there to 15,000/20,000 pa (ish..)
I apologise if I came across too aggresively earlier.
-
Balls!
Have a look at: Gas Gas production numbers, go to 0:46 and Gassers numbers are there and they are about 4,000 - 5,000 trials bikes pa.
-
I think they mean a "cassette" type gearbox not a separate (pre-unit) gearbox.
-
-
Wouldn't worry about 'em too much unless you want to do a concors resto.
Try Jared Bates at south west Montesa. Alternatively, google is your friend. There are a few Spanish companies doing repro parts
It would if we knew where you are located but any decent bearing supplier can assist here. I don't know what bearings are needed but somebody, probably Woody or Feetupfun, will know.
-
And you yanks are getting p****d at BEYOND petroleum (amalgamation of BRITISH petroleam and Amoco, an AMERICAN company)?
-
Yeah, I agree with the speculation about this event. I think (pardon me Jake) that from an outsiders perspective this might be a very importamt event in trials history. I realize that many organizers are hamstrung by requirements for pits/pantechnicons etc but Jake & Mart seem to have found THE venue (IMO).
Now the important bit: Andy, where did Barney go?
-
And that is why I shan't be buying an iPad anytime soon.
-
Wayne, the Yanks had a go at building a trials bike in the mid 80's. Made a pretty fine job of it too. Never made it to production though.
