  1. That's why I asked where he is.
  2. Nice find Kevin. Hope you can make as good a job of this one as you did the Cabelero
  3. Lot's of questions. Re the Beta 200. A bit big for your son now. But fine within two years. It'll be good for you too. Practice areas: You can develop the techniques in your driveway. Then worry about the rest. Where abouts are you?
  4. Colin (love him or hate him) deserves it. He's been a trojan in the Yamaha team.
  5. Nice bike and nicer job. MartinM will be impressed.
  6. If you read his autobiography he says that the Ferrari thing is no-deal. He isn't interested. Rallying however is a different story.
  7. Of Rossi? He's starting to get hurt trying to keep up with the young guns. I said two years ago that I reckoned he had two years left in him. Let's see if I'm right.
  8. A very large penny has dropped. AFAIK Doug is now comfortably in the lead of the world extreme enduro championship. From Betas perspective sending Doug to Erzberg as opposed to Japan was a no-brainer. *edit* I see it's not yet an official world championship. That only happens next year.
  9. Ah, that could well be the case. I've had one myself (a 349). What side is the gearlever? If it's on the right it's probably an ex Rathmell bike. Common problem. Try Jared bates at South West Montesa
  10. Hmm, not sure about this, but I think you may be confusing a 348 s/arm with that from the 349 which was AFAIK a bit longer. So I would think you have a 349 s/arm as well. Looks like you're doing a cracking restoration there. Any chance of more pics?
  11. Why don't you get Jake to rub up Red Bull for some sponsorship of TC? Captive (and impressionable) audience etc. Worth a try.
  12. Say's a lot really. I suppose Doug's winding down insofar as the trials championship is concerned.
  13. He sold off the gold reserves and raided the pension funds. Not exactly a recipe for sustainable revenue generation. Why do you think he was a good chancellor? *edit* Houseape, the above isn't an accusation, just a question.
  14. Are weilding an axe of enormous proportions. How do you mob in the UK feel about this?
  15. Interesting combo. Quite sensible really.
  16. Lian, I did a surf last night but can't find the phone number. Are you on Facebook? I can give you a contact through FB.
  17. I doubt whether you could use hydro-forming here because the header is welded tubular sections. Chances are one of the welds will give up before the dent is pushed out. However that it made of welded sections is good news. Lian, you'll need to cut along one of the welds and bash it out the old fashioned way and reweld. Lian, where in the Ukraine are you? I might have a contact for Ti welding (usually difficult to find) for you if you're in the west (Lvov). Of course we would do well to remember that the old USSR was doing things with Ti that the decadent, imperialist capitalist west could only dream about.
  18. For whom Ian? Us or him? It's his life. Let him lead it in any way he wishes (as long as it doesn't interfere with me). Good luck Pat. Keep riding and have fun
  19. I'm not sure it's a new frame design, just new seat (?) plastics. The silencer is certainly new.
