I have recently purchased a bete rev 4t and
it leaks fuel from the carb breather pipes
when your riding it ,and it's not even on it's side. Is this
common place and if so is there a mod/setting for
the float hight etc.Thanks
-
It was the washing bit that probably was there demise then!
Just ordered some new ones, thanks for the advice.

Can anyone help ,does anyone know where you can get either
alpinestars or the army style waterproof socks i have used these
in the past on got on well with them, but i can no longer seem
to see anyone selling them. i have been using recently the seal skinz
type but these leak after no time at all on my third pair now and
given up .Thanks in advance

The water pump housing problems only happened on 04/05
models to my knowledge something to do with a bad batch
of castings,i would have thought that most of these bad
castings would have found there way to the bin by now!
-
If you look back into old posts there is plenty about this in
there enough to write a book about!
-
I think when buying a bike you have take in the overall picture
and however good a bike is to look at ,to ride,to sell, reliability, it has to
be taken into account not many people have enough money to buy on a whim
and put up with what it will cost them if they make a bad choice !
-
Yes check the fan as stork said further to that it will be a check of the wiring loom
and then possibly the generator to check the output is sufficient and stable!
-
I had a good go on an 08 model yesterday and was very impressed
seemed to have plenty of power throughout the rev range, i'm used to
beata's and noticed it was lighter and more agile . i would doubt if i
would buy one though as i reakon it would be very hard to sell on and
you would loose a lot of money on one!
-
I think if you check you will find there are one has the re programmable
throttle and one has the standard throttle body.
If you check ,there are two list prices for the repsol model
-
There are two repsol models !
-
WHAT YOU ARE REFERING TO IS NOT A THERMOSTAT BUT A COOLANT TEMPERATURE SWITCH !
-
No your piston seals will be ok they do pop out easily and go back in just the same,
you would soon know if the seal had gone as it would be leaking!
-
If i were you i would get it powder coated it is a lot
moreof a durable finish. They come powder coated
from new !
-
All that you can do is lay the bike on it's side find yourself a
suitable size peice of bar and big hammer and let it have it, even
that will probably damage the spindle beyond repair not much
else you can really do without doing a lot more damage!
-
Split the caliper halves ,remove the bleed nipple from the opposite half to the
banjo bolt side place piston side down on a bench and blow them out using
conpressed air pop out the seals fit new seals and pistons and re assemble
job done. half an hour job!

-
That is because the black mudguards are just bare black plastic hence
nothing to scrape off!
-
BEGG your pardon i know where the confusion may be coming from
it was a leamington victory trial that had been cancelled not the VICTORY trial!
-
What is going on me and friends entries came back on the
thursday prior to the bank holiday with slips of paper, ans on
them saying trial cancelled for safety reasons!?
-
As boofont said the last two jackets i have bought have
been ALTURA mountain bike one's one 50 one 85 reduced to
35 full vent system all zips have waterproof seals, sholders
elbows etc toughened pannels and stayed 100% waterproof
for the entire time what else can you ask for!Mail order FREE delivery.
-
If were you i would buy a mountain bke one they are
designed with the same basic principals in mind, you
havw a far greater choice, and there not a rip
off like the trials gear
-
Unfortunatly it pays to shop around all the time i always
do as the pricing seems to be all over te place i reakon
half of them make it up as they go!
-
When you get them full of water you really need to ge it fired up
asap otherwise the water will rust the main bearings this only
takes a couple of day's if left, and then you will need a engine strip down
to replace the bearings!
-
After a trial i preasure wash mine ,i have an old road cone just
turn them upside down boots that is and stick them over the cone
come uo spotless. Then put dubbin on them job done!
-
Yes i have one on my bike and am very pleased with
it the quality of the pipe is superb, and it seems to make the
bike run more cleanly and smoothens out the power it also
appears to rev more off the top end. Not sure about them
as said being made of titanium though they seem to be to
heavy for titanium feel more like stainless steel i work in the
aerospace industry and work with both materials frequently!
