Hi Guy's
Hi Steve.
Just hold fire untill I have news back from the pattern maker. The idea was to have the 350 barrels cast with options from 349cc upwards to 410cc.
I have sent him a cast barrel to take the pattern from that is out to about 380cc, but have told him to make the core smaller so that we have the range.
Another option on the mag that I have been tying with for ages, is to fit a Runtronic unit into a Lucas mag, these are available from Weston UK in Sittingbourne Kent. or just type in Runtronic on Google.
I would be intrested to know if any one as fitted and run this unit with any success.
Regards.Charlie.

Hi Guy's
Hi Frenchie.
Your Bike is at a standard that perhaps all "Miller copies" should follow. And yes a 350 has better power for today(my opinion).
doing a bit of homework on the engine I feel 380 to 410 cc's is probably the optimum for power and plonk, but you would know better than me.
But I feel the 350 head should be used to get the right tractorbility. Only thinking about getting new barrel castings, as the alloy 350 barrels have dried up, and the new "teck" surfaces bring closer piston ring tolerances.
Regards Charlie.

Hi Guy's
Hi Steve.
A PAL Mag could be another option,if you can find one, and it could be a bit cheaper.
I was thinking along the same lines for the barrel, but you will also need a 500 head as well.
I have sent a 350 barrel off to the pattern maker to find the price of having some made with the 350 stud centers and then having the bore nicasil or ceramic coated. Will let you know the outcome.

Hi TRF.
Well spoted that man,
Yes the the third engine mount is made of stainless steel and is riveted with stainless Avdel rivets to to sump plate.
I have also made an head steady that fit's on to the two rocker cover bolts, as you will see later, this fits to the triangler bracket that is bronze welded to the top tube.
Thanks for the intrest.
Regards Charlie.

Hi Guy's,
This is the frame I have just finished to take our Tiger Cub engine.
It is based on the design of Pat Slinn's BSA frame that he built in the competition department in 1964.
Here are the pics at last, sorry for the wait.
Regards Charlie.

Hi Guy's.
Hi Steve.
Yes I think you are right mate, The later one must have been the ones with double kinks.
The one I used came from a 1958 frame so had the straight right leg. I have heard of using Bantam and C15 arms but I feel they still need modification.

Hi Guy's
Hi TCM.
I made mine one inch longer by lenghening the back fork slot by the inch and then filling in the front of the slot with a slug of steel and drilling it for a snail cam bolt. I made it one inch wider by heating the right hand leg casting at the front to red and gently leavering the leg out to the shape of the left hand side, then let it cool and again heat the tube and bend so that the shape matches the left hand leg. set it on a flat serfice and make shure both legs lie without rocking.Any small difference can be adjusted by cold setting.Hope this helps.

Hi Guy's
Looks like 07 to me because the Montesa? was one of the bikes, and it was published on the 1st of May, and did you see the shirt sleaves.
Still no results from this year then?
Seems to me that we are losing intrest in pre 65 bikes, which i'am sure is not the case, but the coverage we have had from intrested partys this year seems to be way down , to non existant, shurly this is only because most of you are still in Scotland enjoying the local brew.
Regard's Charlie.
