  1. You would of thought with all the interest in the Thursday Morar extension pioneered by senior where the Kine'll is he off too now has brought about, the SSDT committee would have added it for the 100th running of the event.
  2. Thanks for the info Tricks, shamed to have lived so close and not known very much about it. Not too sure about the wickid peddler though, once this type of info was passed on by the old stalwarts or big John on here, soon we won't have to say owt, all you need to know is just a click away, well bar the likes of me that is, still can't figure out why you have to click start to turn this bloody thing off
  3. Thougt I would ask, how did the Scott trial get the name Scott ?.
  4. I have had my old dear for twenty two year and wouldn't swap her for owt, but when it comes to bikes who gives a ****.
  5. I also thought the Scorpa suspension felt as good as anything out there, the tmx report states they have cganged the rear shock to a shorter unit, hope it has retained the feel. clicky > http://www.tmxnews.co.uk/content_database/scorpa_scorcher/index.html
  6. I think if you care about the young Brittish riders, you'll support the brand that best supports them.
  7. I would check it isn't getting starved for fuel before the carb, take the fuel tap off and take the thin tube from under the fuel tap filter and cut it in half, then stick one half back in.
  8. I could just see some flat cap wearing ACU codger on't Yorkshire moor testing specific gravity of fuels lads are running in thier bikes, armed with a Tetley bottle for a test tube, wi tab end on full glow ower petrol tank
  9. Looks like it's nowt to do with rules, more carrying on a pi22ing match they started on another forum
  10. Better not put my thoughts on this, Andy would ban me
  11. I wonder if an actual four stroke class would of boosted sales of modern four bangers. Obviously Mr Bou is beating two bangers on a four stroke, it might of been a better approach by the FIM to have gone that route than state all bikes must be four stroke by year 94/5/6/7/8/ or summat along those lines. I have a couple in my shed and love riding them, but I don't think they perform better in the section than the two banger and people don't want to pay extra for them if thier results won't improve, inbetween the sections and trail riding it's a different story and I would opt for the four banger every time. I think the four stroke run a lot better on this **** they call fuel nower days too.
  12. "sea level" good un. If you ask him what gear he uses most he'll probably say an old Babour jacket and pit boots.
  13. Typical woman, keep pressing the button until summat happens My favorite is! "the car makes a funny noise when I try to start it" "thats because it's already running thi daft cow"
  14. Queen will do, watch em all
  15. Due to The fact Perce and Kinell have prior commitments that night, I think you should be safe in knowing it will be a star lineup as usual. Kinell said he had to meet his mate darn't pub, and the Richmond sewing club always have a lot going on that time of year.
  16. There looked to be a very good turnout of spectators at Donner, but I can see how a low spectator count might help our cause when the **** it's the fan over this deal > http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/08/17/o...d_n_684531.html Off-Road Racing Accident Kills 8 - ABC News Aug 15, 2010

    What A Nerve

Come full circle to the campground I posted the topic, covered 1,808 mile to this point, debateing with the kids on stying here another day before going to the Colorado rounds or go to another campground and catch a white water river raft trip, one lad is up for it T'other isn't. Very good youth national event, Trevor was runner up all three days, to young Ty Cullins, he was trying to get the better of Ty at least once over the event but Ty simply rode better. Big thankyou to Bill Markem and all the nice folks who made it a great event for myself and the kids. Will update when I can.

    What A Nerve

Heading to the youth nationals in New Mexico, mile post seventy five from the NM border in Colorado, tykes had just about lost it with dad driving the past 1200 miles or so with only stops to get gas, I decided to pull in to a KOA camp grounds, full hook Op's even wy fi az thi can see, any road old bird on the counter give me the senior discount, I know I'm sporting a fair bit of grey but the old batt must er bin 85, my Yorkshire upbringing wun't allow me to complain, not when 10 bucks wer at stake. Bloody reet good deal though, pool and crazy golf fer the kid's, power and water even left the AC on full chat wi door wide open just to make sure I get mi $ worth, nobutt about 20 quid. Got to come back this way after the three days down NM two days at the Colorado nationals and then ower to Donner pass for the last two rounds, I'm just a cook, driver, and minder on this trip, getting too old to try and ride plus watch the kids. Might have more on the way back.
  21. The two most popular brands in the US currently have the best two riders in the US making for a very close championship this year, with four rounds remaining either one could be champ after round 10 at Donner pass come August 1st. This makes for a lot more interesting championship , and more trials enthusiasts will be getting behind their favorite for the win, it
  22. I saw some pictures of modern twin shock bikes on here somewhere, they look good. When you read debates on here about stop or no stop rules you get about a 50/50 split for one way or the other. I don't see any reason an air cooled jug can't be married with modern bottom ends, and some very sensible twin shock bikes produced, I think if new machines were available the classic style trial could be very popular, the full meal deal though!! rules, sections, bikes, I'm fast loosing interest in what this game has evolved into, and chances are if dad isn't bothered my lad's won't be either. I don't think the sport has the appeal it once had, because the whole game, machines, rules, bikes seem to be geared around what half a dozen circus acrobats want, and not the customer.
  23. Very good point spread, taking enough off the winner without shutting out the lower end of the entry, it does show it can be done without making it too hard or too easy. If the weather doesn't turn nasty scores should be lower tomorrow now they have the sections sussed. The style of sections doesn't look to have bothered Bou one bit, while the other three Spaniards don't look to have got to grips with them as well.
  24. I like the fact you don't need to follow a maze of ribbon to figure out where the section goes, natural boundaries start and end flags straight forward, should also be a good weekend for the minders not having to hang off cliff faces to catch machines. I like the approach and hope it's a huge success, sections can be tough without being stupid, the scores should tell the story come Saturday evening. Wish I was there to see it.
