    Ssdt Route

So Slapshot, lot of snow still around, I think because it is still around the moor will not of soaked up as much water and could be good going this year. What's the rain amounts compared to other years ?

    19" Front Tube

A lad was telling me the other day that a 19" front tube will still stretch to fit the front but works better than a 21" on the rear if you need it. Anyone know if it works or not ? would make sense to carry one of them round if it does.

    Hey Fat Lad !

47 day's to go, don't know were the past two weeks went, looking forward to it now, think I'm getting a bit fitter. Looking for a lift up the Fort for myself and machine Fri or Sat, from Silsden, will pay for fuel if anyone has a bit of room.
  5. Well worth a couple of quid to see shirty riding in tights, might get a bit cold round the Trossacks, but it doesn't look like that will be used this year.
  6. Rode mine today Ron, feels good, changed the front fender though, that sticker support they use now doesn't stop the mud getting thrown up on the motor and header pipe. Great for turning corners without hopping, us old folk don't like wasteing energy if we don't have to. Light front end, I need to get out on some big climbs see if it holds a line. I like what they have done and it feels right, it will get some good testing next month or two.
  7. I don't think they were trying to hang it, more like they had a rope round it's neck in a Swaledale sheep shaggers head lock and it bolted forward.

  9. I enjoy riding trials, just don't think the world championship does any good for the sport. Dabster says it sustains itself, last I knew it was individuals or clubs that take on the financial burdon of actualy putting an event on, and fact is many loose a shed load doing so.
  10. Cos your the easiest parrot on here to wind up, Ham is a bit more of a challenge and a lot more fun. "I say live and let live it does sustain itself or it wouldn't exist." national health exists "Giving a young rider

  12. My point!! if clubs cater for the members, it doesn't matter what the FIM etc are doing. It isn't the tax payer that gets countries in trouble, it's the governing body that always seem to bugger the job spending or costing more than the game allows. Same applies to trials, the clubman is the life blood of the game, they buy the machines clothing spares etc, at the other end stood in the shop window looking good is the expensive part of the game that costs a lot but really isn't good enough to generate enough interest from sponsors or the general public to pay for itself. I was told some numbers on how expensive it was to ship teams and bikes around the world, how much of this is tagged on to the price of a trials bike and spares to the clubman, I don
  13. The FIM, ACU, NATC don't stick the flags in the ground, if the way of thinking is for more traditional fun style trials to entice new blood in to the sport, it starts with clubs giving what the public want. It doesn't matter a toss what Toni bou is doing, nor how new or light your bike is, if you cater for the man on the older bike and lines are included for the better riders it will take care of itself. Trials is a participant sport and after 35 plus years of world championships, it looks bloody obvious to me that the public for the most part are not interested.
  14. Just checked, it's 22 quid, tight bugger buy it
  15. I have one, how much is 3,000 yen
  16. I know it takes all sorts, but that could put me off the SSDT for life.
  17. Reading the report it didn't seem to get a thumbs down, with the worlds top five riders competing in it, I can see the possibility of it getting pushed to the FIM. Does that leave the rest of the world riders playing catch up?. It may well be a option at world level but could it be another nail in the flat cap wellie brigades coffin. Dabster!! could the shop window get broken ?
  18. Reading about the first round of the Spanish openfree http://66.196.80.202/babelfish/translate_u...rcototal.htm%3f The video makes the sections look a bit easy, don't know if they were or not but the results look about right for the top riders. Is it the answer to getting more rider participation at top level ? Will more countries follow suit ?
  19. The TLM is a nice looker, end of story. I bet they could make a econo air cooled trials bike based on today's machines, fins have to be lighter and cheaper to produce than the liquid cooling system

    Decompressor On 320

The bike sold about a month ago but it had stock main 33 pilot on the 250 for this area, I tried going leaner on the main and richer on the pilot but it wasn't right, we will be a bit closer to the UK for weather conditions here in Oregon. Waiting for the 010 to arrive, week or three away yet though.
