I'm in Tampa, always wanted to ride in a hurricane!
-
Maybe by the time you figure out which is the correct spring, pin, tophat and seals for your new case, you might opt for the newer lighter belville spring to finish off your frustration, since you are there? I don't know!
-
If its like my wife, you must first sell her on the Sonny Beeches you are going to see!
Don't tell her they are your riding buddies!
-
The gloves really should not bunch up. I really cannot imagine going gloveless. Even if I take the bike out for a quick spin in the back yard hand sweat will quickly kill grip, making hands work harder.
I have run the XC-Ting gloves for the last two years, excellent, best I have ever had, thin palm and still hold up. I run the medium compound renthal grips. Just use the Hebo's for practice now!
-
HeHe,
Darrell O'Shannon O'Thick will probabably give you a tenner as well for a nights bed and breakfast and a spin on your bike!
Good deal with the rates what they are!
-
Great, if you like blue!
Red , if you like red!
Black, if you do not like anything!
-
Ok, Did you get the "sit down" position first?
You know, the one with your feet in the front spokes, much more compatable to beer drinking during practice!
You cannot run before you can walk! I think, but that was before the internet!

Unfortunatly there is not much to revamp on the Sherco motor without making great sacrifices in reliability such as the Gas Gas pro motor. They(gassers) are on the edge, both in somewhat disfunctional design and reliability. The gassers still have their problems, that is the price of performance, yet what is amazing is they keep getting beat by monts an a world scale. An old bugger like Dabster would be unlikely to destroy anything though, and that makes for good service. And I can see where many love them. And just get new ones!
Weight could be saved on the Sherco with the mag cases and trimming of gears. Gears? What is that? Last I checked RYP had never sold a replacement gear for a Sherco. As Xispa claim a lighter motor, it could be done!
The Beta motor is not far off the mark. Roumours of a revamp? Possibly the leg muscles will require a change? As in the 4T!
The Useful Life of an average bike? The cost of ownership? VS performance? It is yet to be determined how the Xispa will hold up!
The others already have their reputations.

He's probably still in the buffet line on that boat and waiting for more shrimp and crab! Poor slob!

Going tire to tire is more ov a jap zap type maneuver anyway. But in answer to your question, many of the 125 youth riders run a 46-48 tooth rear which makes second more user friendly for big stuff. Third is seldome used in the sections unless there is something with a huge run requireing great speed.
This is a very general reply, and I am sure someone may be able to be more Beta specific.
-
Frank, can I call you Frank?
You are doing great!
You are going to have to let that clutch go man if you are going to get some real action going from the rear! I know, it is hard to do!

As Peter stated, you run into so big issues with seal / fluid compatability there. I have heard that you can get by with DOT 5 silecon based fluid in the '05 mineral oil system.whish may be true as the silecon based is fairly inert. Yet no dot 3 or 4 for sure.
We have been told in a recent training class that there should be NO intermixing, period! Because of some wierd things happening between dots 3 and 4, and dot 5 was out of the question as far as compatability with the common fliuds. Turns to sludge or something! There should be no retro fitting between grades encouraged.
One thing absolute, no mineral to dot 3-4! Willnnot work for long!

I rebuild both wheels on my '07 in the spring, and even had second thoughts about the rimband. My stem was heavily corroded and had to go. The hole in the band was iffy (this is from factory) and even though I had a new band on hand did not use it. The new band has a hole punched that is tighter than a ducks ass. You need to stretch it to get the stem through.
Anyway, even with everything in pretty good shape, I had to go back and remove the spacer thing to get a good seal. Morale of this story is that if things are not perfect, they will not seal, yet there are options.
Lazy peeps just stuff a tube in them! Whatever works for you! Oh well!

I suppose I have gone brain dead, as I thought there were published diagrams on the Sherco wireing with specs, yet I cannot find them for Leonelli.
Hello Wayne, do we have this info?
-
Sounds basically the same as my '07, so Leonelli. My '02 bike was Ducati, did not think they changes till '03, yet who knows.
Last shot for other info would be Steve

Six Hours? Most pro's I have seen only go for three or four!
Overdoing it will not help you, I think!
-
Sounds like a problem to me!
-
I got a kick out of the Man of House thing.
I am outnumbered(Slapshot)! The wife , the daughter, the cat, thy butcherous bitches even had doggies danglers removed!
Reminds me why I need to go ride!
-
Brake pedal, where is it ? Oh yea, toolate ! OUCH!
Brings back old mammories!
-
You need to find Jay or Ishy or someone up there, wherever they are!
-
Any modern 200-250 will keep dad in the smiles for a long time, the kids can always share! Or dad!
-
That looke like a fine project bike!
-
What is this Sherco Prompt System on the 4T? Any idea?
Sounds to me like they may have gone with the accelerator pump, who would have thunk it?
-
There is a close up pic of what I call a normal valve stem HERE
I have no ider what GasGas is currently using, but the band with integrated stem from Tryalsshop or BRX may be your best bet. I hate them things anyway!
Actually, that will probably be my next spares purchase as well, just so I do not have to go through what you are now!
-
God I should have thought of that! We'll buy um cheap and sell them to Zippy!
