  1. I would like a copy, you should be able to get a good standard dvd/ cd mailer rate to the US, can you ck? L5 = about $10 here plus the rate, so about $15? Not money to be p****d off, as it does add up! Figure ebay fees! But if affordable I would like one! Let me know,
  2. I posted this question down the line in another thread, but seems nobody read it! Or Knows? I do believe it worth checking into! Just because it does work! I guess Mr Honda thought the same! I am qurious to know if the same air filter cleaning and oiling products as offered here now by Honda are used there in UK. It is basically the No-Toil products, of water based bio- degradeable, cleaner(powder) and a special high tack oil that is easily emulsified by the cleaner? And easier on the foam filter it seems. I have used it for years now, long before I found it on the shelf at the local Honda shop. The pair of bottles lasts me all year for your = to about 7-8 quid! A bit of hot water in a small tub, whith the cleaner will do me twoor three filters just fine, blow dry, then apply the oil and squeeze out the excess. Done, bag them for later use. Dump the soapy water and dirt! If I use something like the PJ1 filter oil, I still seem to need a solvent such as petrol or mineral spirits to get them clean, not only a pain, but unless you have permanant maintained wash tanks in the shop, you have to do something with the solvent! Not good for the average person!

    Beta Hunting

WATER! in the bowl! Will give you fits! All it takes is a drop or two!
  5. Think that was '03, BS, all but the 125's! The '04 would have the new delta link, same as now as I recall. Are you on your original shocker? You may have got the best for reliability?
  6. Lots of money for that, nice though!
  7. Leak-down test? Which leg does it leak down Jon? Do you have the stuff for that? I don't! I would have to build block off plates and adapters, Ha!
  8. I think I understand the problem, but not the question? If your arm or shaft is stripped from being loose or something, you could just simply tack weld the arm to the shaft in proper position with a mig! Takes seconds! Done! You never take it off anyway, best I figure, But since you have new ones? If you ever did need to remove them, just cut the weld, they were done anyway!
  9. Seems to me that people never quite realize the fact that those crossover charts are not too good. Being in the car business for a LONG time, I have seen lots of wierd things with plugs. There aer also some plugs I hate, such as those Splitfire things. Yes there are many equivelent plugs that work without problem, but you never quite know untill it is a problem. Therefore, the best overall recommendation is to stick closely with the mfg. spec plug! And if you are going to vary at all, stick with the same brand, such as a change from a NGK BP5ES to a BP5EVX platnum, same range, same maker! Any thing else and you become the test pilot! So Biff made you fix what you tore up,eh Zipper? I hate that Nothing wrong with Champions in the CORRECT applications!

    Beta 4t Video

Good to see Ray having a go on the 300! The only other person I know with a 300 Beta could not ride much because of a broken finger, I offered to test it for him? And YES, Heathy, they are required in some areas! I think the one he has is one of the better(less restrictive)ones!
  11. Maybe Commo has a Beta 80, nice too! In GA 802 318 0357 I think they still offer a small wheel 80. All the small wheeled bikes have pretty krummy tires fitted, unles you fit the smaller VeeRubbers like the new Gasgas 50 i think it is!
  12. It is soo difficult to diagnose these things, even when you are there. If the crank seals were leaking, the choke should make it run better after warm I would think. Then you get to the HEAT thing. A slow ignition timing can give too much heat in the exhaust, as there is too much unburned fuel downstream. But a noteable change in preformance should follow if that were the case and the stator has gone off, or the box! The strobe check would be good. As I recall, they should fire somewhere around 20-25 degrees BTC and show some advance with revs. A noteable change from this, say at only 10 degree BTC would be a good indication of a problem there related to the ignition actually functioning on the slow side of what it is supposed to be doing. Unfortunately I have no hard numbers to go by. Peter, would those numbers fairly match what you are thinking?
  13. I jjus wish he could get over there to spend some quality time in practice with the likes of Caby and a few others! This type of stuff is what is hard to do, and it also seems this is where the teams such as FutureTrials have an advantage.
  14. I am soo glad to hear thar Fracy had a good trip(adventure), and yes, those kids are tough as nails, and come back even better, it seems! They have such a great time together it seems! I wish i could go just to ride and visit with the Dads! Oh well! One of these days, BC! That would be a good trip for Thisle too! Could not be a bit more than another 1000 miles for him!
  15. I give up on LEVEL!, Your turn Dabster!
  16. That's just NUTS! Jockey tighties BTW!
  17. Wow, that just goes to show how tough these girls are! Ariel is a good young rider and I have ridden with her many times. No fear! Me-Know fear! And me, no Camelback in the heat? Not good! I like LOTS of water, if you need a break, it needs to be a pee, if you are lucky!
  18. I must admit I tend to agree with Dabster on this one. And quite frankly, I have never heard a top rider say that riding a 125 was fun at that level. But it can be done! It IS the extreme of the sport in a way. Pat just wants to ride! Go for it!
  19. Even more importantly, Learn to Ride what you Brung!
  20. I agree, the 200 class bikes are sweet, and will take adults easily! Although if you REALLY want to work the bike and the tech stuff, a 125 will give you a workout, they are soft, fun and capable on all but the biggest stuff! Requires better rider!

    T D N Usa!

The team has been chosen, Pat, Cody, Will and Keith! Top kids all! There is a missing name, Chris! Florin, that is! I am not sure just exactly how many TDN trips he has made, but a lot! His experience will be missed, he is a top notch guy! As when Geoff retired, I was hoping we would see more coaching and minding from the guys with more experience! Guess not! Chris Florin has been a tribute to the American effort over the years, and I just wanted to make note ! He can be proud! My typing finger is tired now!

    Sat Nav

I got a Garmin 250W a while back, used it on the WR trip to TN, 1500mi+! Seemed to work great with minor errors on turnarounds and fuel stops! I am funny though, I still do not buy a phone tp take pictures, nor a DSLR to take movies, nor a GPS to talk on the friggin phone! Nor a phone for Gps! I could go on! Oh, hell with it!
  23. He He! Funny you say that! I almost killed myself on a cheap Chineese moped a couple weeks ago!
  24. I'm wondering if your fuel is tinged, maybe got some of that E85 stuff!
