  1. Forgot I have this large piece of chalk for marking rocks!
  2. Allen set, 10mm spanner 14m spanner Multi tool Air pump Tire guage Crescent Ty wraps For short loop ! All in Camelbak with lots of WATER!
  3. Mind you, Clark thinks wearing a skirt with a matching bum bag is the highlight of his day! But it IS fun to watch! A sober observer is a must, as I never know where I am at, but it is fun! Try it!
  4. I think that is a UK thing Sam! Been a while, but last I inquierd with Adrian, a TRP was $600, and a Ohlins was $750 and with the rates, doubt things have improved. What is wrong with the '07 shock? Thankfully(knock on wood) mine has held up ok so far.
  5. Zipper likes it! For some strange reason , it said "screw you"!
  6. Thank god, it's about time! I was actually wondering if I was going to have to bring it to you from the WR! Yes, Ryan had one there, unfueled, so I did not get a chance to break it in for you! Looked SWEET!
  7. Actually, I may not have met you because I did not go to TTD THIS year, my bad! But as you are correct, the drive is a real bear from here too! My thoughts bring me to a recall of Dale Malecek telling me that Louise Forsley was spendind time in NY state this year training. As I know not nuthing about even if she is going, might be worth trying to contact her. Call Ryan or Dale and see if you can get her e-mail, Maybe things work out? She is great! And from what i have seen, likes company! M2C,
  8. Laura is tough! I think I may have met her there before there! Maybe at TTDays? Even if you don't find someone to go along, hook up with any of these guys and they will surely help you along! Don't be afraid to approach Ryan either. Many times he can and will offer up a bit of help and guidence !
  9. E's a pretty good tosser, all things considered!
  10. Yes,, Jon can probably go into some two page thing about this, but as the dellorto screw controls fuel rather than air, it is also more sensitive! 1/16 turn can make a difference! And they seem to vary a lot, therefore your occasional fluctuations! 1
  11. Steve (Fracy) and others, I wish I could make another trip out there after the WR, but time and money does not allow. Steve(Spinner) seems to already be experiencing some of the "teacher becomes the student" and yes it will happen, but only if you are lucky enough! Kids will be kids, and they eat it up riding together, you guys do the same, you bunch of kids get together too and make a few loops! The kids can take care of themselves for a bit! You guys may have to kick it up a notch to stay ahead of them! Just see how far you can get along the rocky creek behind the cabins for a warm-up! It can get real fun! MC
  12. I try to study section design and difficulty all the time, as at any time I may be called upon to build some for the club or whatever event. The Japs must have taken this to a fine art as well, as getting 40,60,80,90 or more out of these guys is not easy! That is some tough stuff!
  13. I will tip another pint to the last two posts! A skillfull rider will still beat you! Lots of banter about this in the Scottish, and I do believe the rule is basically applied properly! And although I have only ridden trials THIS decade, we did have a bout ov no-stop here, I did not appreciate overzealous judjes who would % you in a blink for a hesitation before a step or something, still leaves a bad taste! Of course, I feel the same way about Gate Trials, where one dab and you are done! I am just like a good dog! I like to leave a mark in every section, sometimes just out of habit!
  14. I think Smage ran one to test most of last year without problems. You would probably be well advised to contact Adrian at Lewisport for more info or a cost comparison with the Ohlins.
  15. What a novel idea, all you need is a motor home and trailer to pick up kids(adults) and bikes along the way! Unfortunately, Fracy is out of the loop, but I sense that he he may bring his bike to get in a little riding time! You guys(adults) buddy up and take the tour up sawmill to the falls and make it across to Lampkin falls on the loop! See Dan for a giude so you do not get lost! He can give you a REAL group ride! Just ask!
  16. That's pretty darn cool Chris!
  17. Main things that come to mind are : Excessive slack in the rear linkage, by lifting the rear Excessive slack in the main bearings, by lifting the flywheel with the (3screws and cover off) Then you can go to chain gears and wheel bearings! Steering head bearings turn smoothly! Do not expect perfection, but workable at that year, much depends upon proper maintenance~ M2C
  18. Jon, Just because mi bike exhibits spastic jerkey motions accompanied by strange guttural sounds does not mean my plates are defective! Examine the plates and through them on a flat countertop, if they are done you will know! Particularly if the steels are blued!
  19. Someone mentioned at some point that the things only had a 3 or 4 speed gearbox! Yea that can get you 20mm! Reminds me of my old 501 Maico, the early ones only had 3!!! The latter had 4, and if you could use them all, you were doing something!
  20. I just cannot see that it is triangulated well enough to handle a 6ft drop off without pulling the top end off the motor!
  21. Pat never smiles unless I say something REALLY stupid to him You could'nt find the Mayor, Craig I cannot get over the scores for the lot! What a tough weekend! You got your moneys worth for sure! Great job guys!
  22. Not aware of any particular problem with them, although Sherco may have changed for many reasons. The bearings on the old one appear pitted though, and if the rod is in that shape as well it may not last. Otherwise looks as though it will work. What manufacturer is it from? There should be no verticle movement with pin installed, and if so the rod is a goner.
