Not condoning riding and risking injury during this difficult time in our histories but if you watch the top boys doing big drop offs they land back wheel first then let the rotation of the front coming down separately displace the energy over a greater time frame.
I guess lessons to learn is don't do things with out instruction, don't try things on your own and stay off bikes at the moment - what if the injury had been worse and you had come off in the corner of a quiet carpark down in a storm drain??
Have you just removed bank angle sensor or has it been removed for a while?
check for corrosion in the plug or if the link has come loose .
Somebody had a dodgy ecu pin on the kill button circuit
Just bend the ends of a normal set of feeler gauges .
if your posh you can keep this a special set or if your tight you just bend back after doing the job.
i think you only need 3 or 4 sizes to give you the variation you need
on several monts I have found very little change in valve change in clearance even after several years use.
Appreciate things may of changed but I bought a brand new 93 250 contact off bvm and had gearbox issues . Service off bvm and gas gas Uk was appalling - having got no joy from bvm they supposedly arranged for John shirt Jnr to take the bike back with him after a local national - maybe kickham that we both rode and sort out issues ready for another local nation maybe cotswold cup?? A few weeks later . After much chasing I Was informed that they had not had chance to look at the bike in time for the next event so I asked if they could at least give the bike a wash and clean air filter etc ready for the trial they were bringing it back too - disappointing to say bike was taken out of shirtys van completely untouched and dirty - ready for me to ride a national . I’m pretty sure his bike was spotless and fully serviced !!
suffice to say I have little little respect for bvm as was and for john shirt junior ever since
I think the 300/301 is much superior to the 260 although not ridden a new one.
you may be better refurbishing your 300 and maybe adding a softer map etc rather than spending on swapping
I've had 250,260,300 and now 301 and its noticeable from a 250 to a 260 and again from the 300 to the 301.
I believe the same mod is done to all the 2020 bikes so should see a similar difference although the 301 rr engine has many other benefits with the extra smooth torque
you need to take the black cover off the throttle body and stick a bit of shim to the casing that the cable pulley wheel would stop against at full throttle.
best of luck
PS think there maybe photos if you search the forum
Just studying wiring diagram -the green looks to be the earth - the black and white comes from the ecu multi connector via the connectors under head stock.
Presume you should have 12v on the black and white and continuity from the green to the frame/earth point
The 4rt unlike some bikes needs the circuit to be closed to stop the bike - ie open circuit the bike runs .
it does not go to earth like done kill switches
As Jr says join the 2 wires when running.
if it doesn’t stop check that the other end which is under tank is plugged into the multi plug under head stock.
what are the other 2 wires going too?
Several air filters is a must. Don’t oil filter then put straight into bike as will be a pig to start - oil and leave to stand while you do the other stuff.
i always drop the pads out and clean inside callipers and give the pads a quick deglaze with a bit of sandpaper laid flat on the bench.
get some mesh and hot glue inside the mudguard to cover the vents - keeps loads of muck and water out.
you can also run a bead of silicon on
little mudguard extension to seal gap to mudguard
I wash off with suitable spray on cleaner - then start bike and let in warm up. While warming up I spray with wd40 - the non aerosol type - spray chain etc water should run if or evaporate . I then wipe over with an old towel to remove water and excess wd40 ( other brands available) . Then quick wizz up and down the drive apply brakes to generate some heat to dry of brakes .
cover with a blanket ready for following weekend
Slow throttle is standard and with the smooth bottom end torque makes the bike very rideable.
Had a spin on a 301 with fast tube back to back with my std 301 and struggled with the quicker response especially on rolling rocks.
