  7. Tim, I know you are not anti 4T. What does bother me is the 4T haters. You don't see any 2T haters. Reminds me of the stupid argument, mountain bikers vs road bikers. Dumbest thing I ever heard. We are all trials riders. FIM never made a rule banning 2Ts. It was the Euro emmissions laws. Somehow the 2Ts have managed to get by those laws...for now. Maybe thats a good thing so that we can have low co$t 2Ts for now in this economy. Why didn't the factories work on making the 2Ts run clean? Why did it take a newcomer like Ossa to show them the way with a FI 2T? Caby is on the 2T for marketing reasons, new model and all. GasGas will never make their 4T, bad design, Mont have just bungled their marketing in a big way. Beta seems to be the only one that know how to sell a 4T.

  10. Had not heard that Mick was linked in any way to the new Ossa. Seems like they would have mentioned it by now. Had heard about a new Yamaha 4T trials motor. That would be great for the sport. I doubt it would be a 2T.

    I am sure more info will come in time. Press Release has names of all they key players of the Company and their positions. Importers surely have not been determined yet, remember details were a secret until a few days ago.

  16. I prefer the Beta Evo design for keeping the rad in the frame. I reckon one good flop in the rocks will test it. Not to tar Sherco with the same brush but GasGas released the 2002 Pro without proper testing.

Good on Sherco for pushing the envelope Tubular frame is much better than that stamped steel version, sure hope the filler cap does not get knocked off in a crash, not sure if the CG has been improved it looks about the same only now more reward only a test ride will tell, tank and rad used to be protected by frame now not, wouldn't want to be on the right in a que, lets see how you Yanks mount a spark arrestor on that.

    I've seen this announced on TodoTrial and Daily Motos but have yet to see what looks like an official announcement from the new Ossa Company. Can't find it on the OSSA website.
  20. Lightest to heaviest: Gas Gas, Sherco, Beta, Montesa... Reverse the list for Quality and reliability. The lightest bike becomes the heaviest when pushing it home.
  21. Camshaft changes were only to make starting easier and prevent kickback. Ideas: Gear it down to 44 T. Put on a slow turn throttle tube. Put the exhaust restrictors back in. A PTB with a slow map.
  22. why is the quality of the Beta so much better than Sherco but price is similar?
