i think the time has come to sell my beloved 315r.
it is a 99 model and has had many extras ie,
black renthal bars,
new chain/ sprockets,
new mich x11
hebo foot rests and bar ends,
new cluch
new front brake hose
new rear pads
re spoked front wheel
oil change every trial
as the title sugests, how much do you rekon it is worth?

my sister keeps pestering me for a trials related hoodie/jacket.
because she does not ride, it needs to be of the casual variety.
does any one know were to get one?

it does sound like it is flooded.
my sugestion is to turn the fuel off and either keep trying to start it
or
take the carb off and drain all the fuel out of it.
we have never had this problem on my dads 98 techno but i think your nearly there!

as usual went over board with the tightening of the spokes and broke them
just realy need to kno were too get a set of spokes (alredy threded) from?
also can anybody give me any tips on fitting them?

my spokes need tightening on my front wheel but im not too sure were to start.
i have a spoke key and a good set of vice grips, and i have been spraying wd 40 on the nipples to losen them off. they are now moving freely but i have been told that if you can put a buckle in the wheel if you dont tighten them right.
can anyone spread any light on how not to buckle it?

my dad has a 98 techno and there much the same.
firstly an ajp lever will fit on your bike. you can tell this from the make of the master cylinder (the resevour on the handlebar).
secondly i would not use automatic transmition fluid i dont rate it. i find best an oil made by Rock, its called GRO. or try silkoline comp 4.
if not it may be your cluch plates. try and buy a second hand fan if you can just because the new ones are verry expensive. any fan from a trials bike of that age should fit. mine went and i replaced it with a gagas one from 1993!!!!
not too sure what the 'black box' does but id gues its the coil.

the only way i can think of is taking the front pipe off anf fitting a new exhaust gasket. if you do this i find it best if it is fitted in with 'exhaust paste'.
im not too sure what make mine is but i wi have a look later.
i know because of this i am restricted to amca evets.
if i were to look at say a beta 125 04-05 model, roughly how much do you rekon theis would set me back?
has anybody had the experience of going from a 250 to a 125? im just interested as i am only a youth but ride a montesa 315, and two of my best mates (that i would usualy keep my own with!) have just got 125s and are now seam to be progressing in leaps and bounds. this could just be my bad riding but i just wonderd if there is a a big differance with a smaller capacity bike?

i do not think they should be made to move up. if the rider wishes to then that is fine however, at club level, why should a rider who rides a trial for fun be made to move up just because they are in the top 3? people should not be made to move up if they feel uncomfortble about it. just my veiws

this may be a stuid question but when i am riding the kick start keeps opening up to the starting position. i chequed all the screws and all is tight.
has any one else had this problem?

i had a badly dragging clucth on my 99 315r so this weekend i have;
1 changed all the plates
2 changed the oil (silkoline comp 4t)
it still drages like a
plus it has a "bite" when you pull the lever in???
what could be the problem?
any help welcomed
