Try bvm moto...I think there web=site is something like bvm-moto.co.uk
THey seem to have most things
-
Wont be long till he's going over them rocks!!!
-
Shame on you neonsurge!!!...was there some good scenery or something that distracted you??
-
There are several trickers on the road here in HK..like the blue one that magicjuan sent a pic of.
BUT..the tricker PRO..is a much better looking/fun bike if you ask me, and I know that in Hong Kong, the pro is NOT allowed to be road registered...shame!!!..and I expect it will be the same elsewhere...
ALSO..yep its a great shame they didnt make it with 21 and 18 inch wheels!!
-
Quite heavy!!!..I seem to remember it was ABOUT 15kg, when I bought some out here on the plane with me..mind you those scales at the airport are probably not very accurate eh! ..know what I mean!!
BUT...if you're lucky, (like I was)..some check in staff will consider them as "sporting equipment"...like a set of skis, and will not include them on your baggage allowance!!!
-
Very interesting ,,,shame William Hill aint offering odds on this one!!!!!!! ..I just wanna see Dougie win again..and hopefully again...and then hopefully AGAIN...reckon he can as well.
I guess those dollar signs are pretty strong though, whoever you may be..specially in a career where you aint still gonna be going to the office every day when your 60 ........so it may not be only choice of bike that sways any decisions??
-
I reckon we should get the "bike killer" at HK trials club, to just knock one up out of spare parts in his shed MicT ...know what I mean..and then get some spy shots of it, to show everyone on the web!!
Will have to try and do some investigation on this one mate..can't be left in the dark if there IS some big news on the horizon.
BILL..you dont mean Aprilia is making another trials bike do ya???...hope its not as scarey as my dads Gorilia Climber 280..which scares the life out of me!!!!!!
-
Thanks Charlie...good point..I'll try to order those as well!!
-
Some very good points about the Novogar...even though I have no personal experience of it, the usual "cant please everyone" situation (as usual) seems to rear its head....but I always think, in that case, one can only try to please the MAJORITY..makes sense, no?
Changing topic a little. I'm anxiously waiting for Mr.Collins report on the meeting.....mostly..(and sorry I missed your request for ideas Dabster) ...to see if Defra was chatted about. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there "review" of motorsport...via their "secret" visitors to events, would be made in November???...so wouldnt it be time to start getting ready again??
HOPE we dont need to prepare ourslelves, but its better just in case?
-
I'm still getting goo in mine about every week...SO..I'm gonna (soon) change the water pump seal and maybe shaft, to see if that helps. Is it worth me ordering the two bearings that are in there as well??..do they tend to need replacing??
I guess its also worth ordering the gasket and "special" O ring..as its called on the parts list.
-
Hope you have time to do it...will be very interested to see what happened...thanks
-
I agree Tony...I sometimes get a TINY hint of the said problem, but wack some new (GOOD) gearbox oil in, and its as good as new again.
ALthough, I expect neonsurge has already tried that
-
Yes...If you DONT keep us posted, I'll be kicking your A***
And dont forget you're gonna visit us all in UK to do some trials!!!
-
Congrats to Cabestany AND Freixa!!
-
A--SE to you too!!..and ge' off my land!!!!!
Will love to meet the HCTC commitee....soon...hopefully
-
Dont worry r2w..when I'm back in UK I will be badgering MicT to keep us all up to date, since I'll wanna know whats going on in the east too!!..
-
worldtrialchamp.
Maybe he's up north or something...anyway..I THINK he's the one, that TOTALLY gold anodised his bike!!!...and I THINK r2w has a link/pics of it on his site..or maybe he posted it on here..cant remember..
-
worltrialchamp!!!!
Hopefully MicT will e-mail you with some more info for when you return to China...but if you trialled in Taiwan...you MUST know the guy that calls himself MotoGod!!!........he's the top guy in Taiwan so I'm told..and he frequently visits us here in HK, and I think he was at that last comp in China.
ANyway..if MicT doesnt get back to you..PM me, and I'll try to help a bit more.
It took me nearly 7 years to find the trials scene in HK, so I understand your frustration in CHINA....and I asked loads of people here, who SHOULD have been able to point me in the right direction, but I think alot of them just dont know what trials is .....STILL...DOH!!!!!!!!!!
-
Well done James...!! fantastic..great to see such a good rider on a beta too!!
-
BISTLU......you STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry..cant say anything 'bout yer 'eadbearings...but you AVATAR!!!!....COOL..and anyone from 'Ereford (like what I am) will find it even more 'ilarious
Good luck with yer 'ead bearings
-
Its great to see you posting on this MicT...
believe me ...MicT has a MUCH better idea on whats happening here, than I do, having ridden here for I think about 20 years plus?? ..(must be getting old Mic)
anyway..hope you didnt mind me sicking my nose in MicT...You didnt confirm about the prize money..but I think that was correct eh?...I think its great if the government are behind it that much!
As regards the bikes...Yep..I've heard that rumour as well r2...and I've also seen some very well known trials riding gear labelled as "made in China"
If people like it or not, its POSSIBLE that alot more companies..bikes/etc etc will move their production to China eventually.
-
They have some VERY good riders already..there was a guy at that event that could not only pogo his trials bike, but also his road bike!!
BUT...and I hope this wont p*** off any CHinese readers...from my limited experience, it seems like there is still quite a way to go on the organisation/level etc of the events. At this one, yep the sections were great..great crowd etc, but my mates who rode it said they only "competed" for just over an hour each day...(it was a two day event)
they dont seem to like long sections/too many sections, or physically demanding events like the Scott or something...so stamina MAYBE is still not great??..(like me )
Anyway...thats just my twopenneth....unfortunately I couldnt attend that particular event that r2 has the pics of...but the BEST news is, that trials IS alive and well in CHINA...AND they have some amazing terrain for it..so yep..watch this space...AND it seems like the government are VERY keen to support it. They even put up prize money for the said event!!!
pretty good eh!
-
Hi Tony,
yep..I hope he will!!!..and hopefully see you there too!...I guess what I was trying to say in my post (albeit badly)..is I guess there are some areas that are pretty "sensitive"???....although I dont really know, not being in the UK...but I would also guess that some places are best to keep a bit quiet about???
Anyway...hope it is a legit, place, 'cause it would be good to hook up with you guys there one day!
-
I've been using Repsol for 2 years...(without strawberries)..and am very happy with it.
One thing I'm STILL curious about though, is the dealer here that sells it insists that it is a SEMI synthetic 2T...even though the bottle I buy says sintetico on the label....(which I guessed would mean synthetic)...will try to post a pic soon, to see if its the same as what you guys over there buy?
-
mmm..certainly would be good to check out the 06...will let you know if/when I get brave enough to get the drill out!
