Ask away. There are some very knowledgeable people here.
Just start asking questions and yea shall receive answers.

That second one is a distinct possibility.

I recommend holding onto the handlebars.
I don't know if it's just me but when I turn to the right I have a harder time as I'm trying to push down and manage the throttle.
I have a much easier time going the other way as the side pushing down (left) doesn't have to do multiple things.

iirc, a slipping clutch can cause the above problem. Or the kickstart pawl is not working correctly. The kickstart stop (a J-shaped bolt) on one of my bikes was worn and caused problems too.
I have not been able to successfully replace that spring without splitting the cases, but I have heard of it being done.
When I've tried I've bent the spring up too much.

You may find that electric trials bikes do not need to replicate gas engine characteristics in order to be successful. Once riders get use to the electric motor's characteristics they may find that the electric motor can do things the gas engine can't.
Depending on how well the throttle is programmed, there may not be a need for a clutch or "riding with a clutch" techniques.
We'll see and sooner that you think.

Can you tell us me more about the frame? Or is there somewhere on the the web I can read more about it?
Is that an oil fill tube by the neck? But it's not Oil-in-the-frame?
How did you design it? From pictures or measurements from the original bike?
Can't wait for Number One Son to get the rest of the photos up.

There's a guy here who has one Suzuki and is clamoring for another one. To each his own I guess.
At least people are making those Kawasakis somewhat ridable.
-
I was just being silly. Of course it's a good idea. It's just that no matter how many FAQs are created there never a shortage of "my bike won't start" threads.
Sorry for the cynicism.
-
or you could just post here.

The Montesa Yahoo Group is ok, but there isn't much volume there.
But as for an official club, I haven't heard of one. There's SMOG but that poor antiquated organization hasn't made the jump to the digital world.
A Bultaco-only trials, I'm jealous.
-
I don"t think they are shipping yet, if you want to consider Tesla a "major" manufacturer. After reading some of the drama surrounding that company I don't know how eager I'd be to give them $100k.

There's a AHRMA trials in Sept. at Miller. Might be fun to watch or participate in. Should be a Honda or two there.
Information looks at little sketchy at this point but should be the 5th and 6th, if that's near you.

Really? 20 years? That's a mighty pessimistic outlook.
Did you read the article on that electric bike? He's some 30lbs over-weight on his first attempt with non-custom parts. And he's probably having to use heaver lead-acid batteries. Once he gets more modern lithium-ion batteries, it should make a difference. If a manufacturer were to take a crack at it, they could easily match the current fuel bikes weight and exceed their performance.
I could easily see having to re-fuel (swap batteries) between loops. How far do you get with the modern bikes with a tank of gas now?
20 years?

I believe there is already work on direct injection two strokes. This is more likely the future, especially for small displacement engines (i.e. trials bikes).
But if you really want to know the future of trials...
THE FUTURE!

Aren't there plenty of kits to do this for the bigger BSAs (most of them use a Norton-style kit)? Try places like RGM (see the second item down...)
There may be others. Some of them use a harder-to-find filter and I think some use a more standard one.
-
What's the weight difference?

Video of the bike will be on YouTube later tonight. The bike is astounding.
-
Gonna have to be that big if you don't have the right gears in the box.

If his behavior was intentional your reaction was reasonable.

I'm assuming that if you are having these screenprinted, the printer will have to make some adjustments. If you have any further minor changes, they should be able to take care of them.
Thank you again for letting me participate. If I get a chance again next year and have a little more time I may be able to come up with something new.
Just PM me when you need my mailing address.
I am sending you a PM where you can download the final artwork. Tell the printer it's an Adobe Illustrator PDF. They should know what to do with it. If you have any problems, just let me know.

Pretty sure he fived that one...
-
Sorry, no. I'm a Chevy boy.
-
I'll see if I can't get some video this weekend.
