  1. As above, lean condition! To check- Float height Good fuel flow to carb (partially blocked tank air vent) fuel pump operation? Good flow of fuel into carb.
  2. Hi and welcome. Best way forward is to find a club that run beginner trials and training days, this will give you the chance to meet other riders with similar ability, you can then practice together or as a group and you will start to bounce off each other as you all get better.
  3. Unfortunately I don't but will ask around and post if anyone I know has.

    Vertigo Launch

A convincing win, well done James and Team Vertigo!
  5. You won't know yourself, the front end of your new bike will be in the air more than on the ground. 25% better results and feel good factor! Enjoy.
  6. Once the leading edge has become rounded we reverse ours so you get a nice new leading edge. It does depend on what you are riding and at what level your at, the tyre will lose its softness as it ages.
  7. Hi Heather Slightly off topic, but how are you finding the new tyres, have you noticed a big difference?
  8. As above, before you go any further get a new spark plug and connect it to the HT lead (the wire with the spark plug cap on it) ensure the old plug is removed from the bike. Rest the new plug connected to the ht lead onto the cylinder head or any metallic serface so that the matalic part of the plug is touching the matalic of the cylinder. Now kick the bike over and observe the spark or not. Try this with the old and new plug. Good luck.
  9. If water cooled, worth checking your radiator was not clogged with dirt and just overheated (pinking) after a long hill climb or high revving section.

    Gas Gas Future?

As said above the riders of tomorrow get there kicks from electronic instant gratification. They don't have to build go karts, modify push bikes with bits from the tip to make there own fun. I am so glad that both my boys have spent the last 10 + years riding and interacting with the trials world. It's sad to think that we can't sell our sport to tomorrow's riders!

    Gas Gas Future?

Topic done to death! Like it or not light and further engineered strength is the only future.
  13. As above- kill switch, new plug, poor earth? If it turns out to be stator speak to Lamkins they are really good regarding faulty parts and have in the past replaced parts even when outside of the warranty period.
  14. Great times, my son still talks about riding with me like that, he used to come to trials before he was riding and ride between sections and loved the long loops.
  15. Running lean due to fuel shortage and tightening up?

    Sherco 125 2004

I don't know to much about the Sherco, but the 2006 Rev is near the end of the Rev model production ( 2008 was the the last Rev to be made) so the Rev will be near the top of its evolution and was a good bike. They all have there problems, if you opt for the beta you will need to find out if the clutch casing has been changed as the original casing tended to corrode due to them being magnesium, the replacements are aluminium so if it's been done no more problems, if it has not been done then you will have to budget around the £100.00 mark to replace it. Hope that helps a little sorry I can not advise on the sherco.

    Gas Gas Future?

Great news for a great brand, let's hope they sort it out for the long term!
  19. Have you tried adjusting the push rod on the lever(adjust so it pushes the plunger in further). Start with the simple fixes!
  20. Great to hear, just ordered some parts from him. Got to say he has been really helpful and the parts I have seen on his web site look top notch.
  21. Beta number 3 done, 2009 300 4T, been meaning to do the clutch fix for ages but never got to mine only did the boys bikes over the years. Wish I had done it before, never thought it was to bad but it is now so much better. Thanks Dan.
