Do JB Sprockets still exist ?
Any recommendations for replacements, currently using 428 size 15t gearbox and 62t rear.(Talon)
Happy with the gearing.
Any thoughts ?
Thanks

Many follow on bikes ON THE ROAD ONLY, can be good fun and much easier to park.
Only officials & riders are allowed off road.

"but I can't be a***d to fit them."
Could be wrong, but not sure that's a legal defence.
FWIW, I tried all the plastic and metal guards over the years but they broke, rusted, bent etc.
The tyres apart from being free actually work.

What country are you in ?

Good question, I have ridden a twin shock over a good part of this area, so it isn't that.
Got to be a lack of enthusiasm to adapt the sections, pity.
-
Car tyres cut to fit do the job of mud guards, free and last for ever.

Thats assuming every household pays income tax, so even worse in reality.

Sadly, not far from the fecking truth.

I think you have to fix the commutator connection anyway, and this will help to eliminate the source of the problem.

No. but it's pretty quick and easy to weld on an extension (if you have a welder and grinder)
just did mine a couple of weeks ago. Went from being a pain to not noticing them at all.
Which is always a good sign, I think.
Think 50lbs springs might still be to soft.

Meths is one of the few that cleans really well & dries without any residue. (white spirit will leave oil)
Meths can be bought from a proper paint supplier. A bottle will probably last years, with the top on securely.

Ever wondered what's lying dead in the burn upstream ?
From 1st hand experience wouldn't risk it.

Do many peeps enter on twin shocks ?
Told its not suitable for pre-65.

It looked like this, some time ago

Hi Mark
Just checked again and back down to 6'3" about 82 Kg.
I have Rockshocks with dual rate springs 45/55 and pre-load at a few turns from minimum.
Never have any experience of Falcons so cant comment.
I first got Rockshocks for my B40 and liked them so much got a pair for the SWM.
I think in the distant past I have used higher bars, but didn't like them and put them on something I was selling (as you do)
Personally I would think about lowering the footrests rather than raising the bars, but it depends how original you want to keep it.

Agree completely re bike being legal, however its the usual low hanging fruit type of policing.

Do Caddy's use alot of oil ? Heard they have a bit of a thirst.

Sooooooo, do I understand that disc brakes and hydraulic clutches should be allowed ?

Curious to know what height you are, as I have always found 6" Renthal's to be perfect.
(I'm 6'3")

Got to agree with Parmaboy, for once. Ask Gerald Ratner about bad publicity !
"Although widely regarded as "tacky", the shops and their wares were nevertheless extremely popular with the public, until Ratner made a speech at the Institute of Directors on April 23, 1991. During the speech, he commented:
“ We also do cut-glass sherry decanters complete with six glasses on a silver-plated tray that your butler can serve you drinks on, all for £4.95. People say, "How can you sell this for such a low price?", I say, "because it's total crap".[2] ”
He compounded this by going on to remark that some of the earrings were "cheaper than an M&S prawn sandwich but probably wouldn't last as long". After the speech, the value of the Ratners' group plummeted by around £500 million, which very nearly resulted in the firm's collapse.[3] Ratner resigned in November 1992 and the group changed its name to Signet Group in September 1993."

Well wide of the mark with this method.
The clue is in the name "DE COKE"
I've always snorted it out.
