    rear wheel nut

I would take the spindle to an Ironmonger and ask them to match a nut to fit. Most of them will give you the nut (up here anyway)

Day time MOT does not require lights, but if fitted must work. Constant tone horn can be bought from a cycle shop. Try and find an MOT station that knows a bit about off road bikes.
  5. Your bike is wet sumping, there is a small bleed hole in the inner casing on the right hand side. Once the oil reaches the point it generally seems to come out the kick start shaft seal. I have found (on my B40)if its left on compression it takes longer to wet sump. There are two ball valves that may be passing, one at the pump itself, the other behind the big hex nut to the front of the engine below the exhaust. What oil are you using ? The springs on the ball valves are probably past there best, the balls/seats may be pitted. How much does it matter to you ? Just start it more often !

  11. Small screw from memory. Took off the second casing and put it in a vice (carefully) put shaft and quadrant in and adjusted. Locktited screws. If you have a new quadrant, these have variable quality. Have you got Rupert Ratio book ? ISBN 0-9535098-1-8
  12. Mule is only just big enough. IMO
  13. Had a similar problem on my B40, adjusted the pawls on the plunger quadrant, been fine ever since. (20 years)

    Marzzochi Forks

Thanks Woody The forks on my Aprilia do pressurize, to the extent that they will continue to leak sitting on a stand. Not a problem with the Marzocci's I have to agree. Ross

    Marzzochi Forks

Thanks Woody, have sent an inquiry to BVM. The springs have certainly lost a bit of life as it required little effort to put the caps back on. There is a spacer fitted of approx 50mm in each leg, from memory I think that was standard ?(plus a 2p piece in one of them!) Do you know anything about a pressure release screw in the bottom of the allan key recess ? Thanks Ross
