Thanks kirsten, mine did have them for approx 20 years, then it was stolen.
When I recovered it they and many other parts were missing.
I had it from (almost) new.
My TX240 has a sticker on the steering head with the displacement, frame no etc.

Don't know if they are better,but I like a bit of oil to trap the crap, and I think they are easier to clean, IMO

Just to confuse the issue,I found your air filter made my B40 run weak, and went for one like :-
lightly oiled with proper air filter oil.
(Also easier to get into a tight space)

Think the spring clip devise is bigger than the plate, could be wrong.

Are you using a slow action throttle ?
What sort of air filter are you using, ie is it to restrictive ?

Thanks Matchlessman, I guess that JB are not longer in business as one of the 162 views would have details, the reason for wanting contact details was that they were really good quality and lasted well, better than the Renthals currently on.
