You can get the 18t engine sprocket here, see details re engine casing !

Incidentally I use 15 / 62 with 428 chain on the B40, some clever person will be able to work out if its the same as 13 / 72. But has the advantage of a slightly smaller rear sprocket for clearance.

Is that top yoke original ?
Marzzochi are further forward aren't they ?
-
If you look at the history of daisy3279( 39) its per una clothing and wet look pvc leggings, pretty sure I would remember a midget in PVC trying to start a 500 Norton !
-
I was told the 125 had a different crank, flywheel etc ?

Hi Brian
What are you looking for ?
Ross
PM me if you want.

Perth are running a trial at Comrie, suitable for pre-65 / twin shock.
Anybody going to ride pre-65 ?

I think the difference is a cut thread removes material, a rolled thread squeezes it to form the thread,
ie no material lost. The nipples are obviously designed to accommodate. If you use a nipple on a cut thread there is little contact / strength.
-
You could run a die down to help calculate the length, but not for the actual wheel build.
Spoke threads are rolled, not cut.
-
Norton Road Holder.
Must be good as every Pre-65 has them, apart from mine.

Which other events should I not miss this year ?

Can anyone name 7 pre-65 trials in Scotland ?
1 The pre-65 of course.
2 Highland 2 day.
3 Perth & District & Scottish Classic have been making an effort in club trials, & Abington.
4 ?

Is it my imagination, or have those footrests been moved back a smidge ?
-
Never think to look there !
-
TQF is supposed to be about 7.

If you haven't bought anything yet go for the 1.85.
If you need George Spence (the wheel builder)tel no just ask. He's at Cupar.

Highland Classic Two Day is worth the trip, either pre-65 or twin shock, it's the lack of modern bikes that make the difference. (IMO)
-
Willie, I just had a look at the TC events calendar and don't think your event is listed, might be wrong.
If people don't know about it they will probably go to the Dalmelington/Stevenson one that is listed.
Ross
Don't know if I'll go to either as have a late night on Sat.

Thanks TooFastTim
What do you mean dig out the TT suit, still wearing it.
Not strictly true, but I do have a SWM jacket circa 1982.

2.10 = part no 239.620 16.6 wide
2.34 = part no 239.625 16.80 wide
2.46 = part no 239.741 18mm wide
All 7 coils.
Think 239.741 must be standard, I'm currently running 3 x 620 + 3 x 625.
-
Can you get half links for your primary chain ?
-
-
Length of an old spring is probably not that accurate an indication, measure the thickness of a coil and I will see if I can compare it to some of the known springs I have. (I bought a selection)
-
Any idea who no 30 was, made the rest look like armatures.

OTF, really I'm not having a go at you, I've been reading your other topic and sympathize with organizers trying to be all things to all riders.
It is slightly different north of the border, we have a much smaller pool of riders spread over a fairly large area. This obviously makes it harder for the organisers to lay out a pre65 / twin shock / modern event.
The multi route section has been devised to try and compensate, sometime more successfully than others.
This is where my grip about (dare I say it)cheat re-engineered bikes come in, the sections gravitate towards taking marks from the re-engineered bikes, making these trial less appealing to more standard/authentic bikes. I have been riding and enjoying trials on my SWM, but would be interested in a back to back comparison with some of the pre-65 James/Cubs etc kicking about. Just a thought, but might explain my lack of enthusiasm for a points system for entry qualification to the pre-65.
