"carefully" put a slot for screwdriver with a dremel, or similar.

I like the "un-competitive" pre-65's, it's the "modern Pre65 bikes" I have issue with.
Call them Bit twin shock if it make them any more acceptable !
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The word classic means something that is a perfect example of a particular style, something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality."
Doesn't say anything about Marzocchi's in Norton Roadholders or dry, belt driven clutches.

I got my one back, eventually.
Its an earlier TX 240 with conventional Piolli (sp)forks, so cant help with oil etc.

Rotax engine parts are still available, though rarely needed. The rest is also usually reliable, what do you need ?
-
get some black trousers !

Hi Pat
Not sure, it seems to have been posted by the Lambretta Club, sounds like an "Army" film !

Another difference flywheel wise is the Aprilia Rotax doesn't have the weight on the clutch side.

From toofastim :-
A guy goes to the supermarket and notices a very attractive woman wave at him and say hello.
He's rather taken aback, because he can't place where he knows her from. So he says, "Do you know me?"
To which she replies, "I think you're the father of one of my kids."
Now his mind races. He racks his brain and travels back to the only time he has ever been unfaithful to his wife and says, "My God, are you the stripper from Fred's stag night that I shagged on the pool table with all my buddies watching, while your partner whipped me with wet celery???"
She looks into his eyes and calmly says, "No, I'm your son's Grade 3 teacher"

I have a BSA B40 with 4 gears, wish it had 5 or 6.
To many compromises with only 4, IMO.

Hi Pat
Sounds like you remember it well ?
Pete - Planning on going to the wobblers, might take the Aprilia for a change ! Still running it in.

have a look here for slightly more obscure plugs

-
I had a similar problem on my B40, using 1 plug a trial, and also thought it was because it burnt a little oil.
But in reality I think it was more that it was running a bit rich. The oil smoke (I still have) is probably less that running a 2 stroke at 25:1, and plugs seemed to handle that ok.

These are Bultaco "Yokes"
-
I went from a 350 Bultaco with Betor's to the SWM with Marzocchi's, thought at the time the SWM steered etc better, but to many other factors to really compare. It certainly was the fashion at the time to swap the forks for Betor's, does your friend have the Marzocchi yokes as MartinM suggested for the best set up ?

Thanks for the reply's.
Will stick with the Marzocchi's, only thought about changing as Betor is much easier to spell !

Was watching the clip TooFastTim posted on the Ventoux Trial Classic 2011,(very good it was to) all the SWM's appeared to have Betor forks, are they so much better ?
-
Hereabouts its only 7.17, but I always have been accused of living in the past !
-
That's because your a time traveler, where everything is more expensive in the future !
You need to adjust you clock, or TC does.
-
Have you tried Carol Nash ? They will insure you during a trial on the main land, worth a call.
-
Fantastic, and so many SWM's.
