  1. Dougie rode stop rules for most of his career? (wtc isnt proper no stop rules anyway?) He is the most complete rider ever, but scotland is very different to anything else as is the Scott, as for world rounds a year out for anyone and they struggle to get back, let alone 5 years. I know that Doug never got to 100 but I did have a very brief conversation with him about it once and its more of a deal to others than it is to him. Its not a significant milestone as it is in say cricket. The flip side is he was in with a real chance for a win his last year at Beta in the Isola 2000 event (09?) but a mechanic let the hydraulic fluid out of the clutch and he lost time and the chance was gone.
  2. Are you saying Dougie didnt have any minders?
  3. yes pretty much all sm events you can usually cost more.
  4. dont forget its an air screw not fuel screw adjustment, so further in is richer. I think!
  5. I dont hate him at all, its just his advice is way off, so much so its wrong. whats the height you settled on?
  6. bored to 200? are you sure?
  7. Fourex dont forget to check banjo is clear also this gets overlooked sometimes
  8. Perhaps if you knew a little about Dellortos and helped someone with a specific problem instead of posting a "general" link you'd be more useful than a chocolate teapot. Whilst it may or may not refer to karts its not much help in this case.
  9. Yes ive checked my gauge and its 18.5 I ve used this setting (ever since my sherco days) and found it to be spot on. Ive had several 315's go through my hands recently and these all go well at this. Please try and let us know
  10. lift needle again check float level as well
  11. Most Gas Gas bolts are very good now, fair to assume now Torrot have taken over they will be better or consistent in quality. I will let you know shortly.
  12. Not sure karting set up helps but thats dadoff for you.......
  13. I have, and many more will in the SSDT, "still riding".
  14. mine did that too needs some sort of regulater
  15. phbl should be 21.5mm from memory? Ive got a u shaped bit of ally with line on it.
  16. You could.
  17. go titanium with pro bolt.
  18. im thinking you have chosen the conventional, sherco, the brand new, vertigo, and the very different honda. Try all before you buy its the only way
  19. pilot doesnt help on full throttle openings im guessing a sze down in slide would help. Expensive to try though.... what number is in there again?
  20. If its just only doing it a bit occasionally but runs nice in the sections i wouldnt worry so much.
  21. I wouldnt go down the expensive route unless youve explored jetting. Usually a 3 slide and 128 main 45 pilot should be good. (from memory). Is that your setting? Float level is important too. IF and big if its head compression then any decent machine shop can skim a bit out?
  22. spring? Nothing to do with jetting. There is another thread with the exact same question look it up will save waiting for replies.
  23. where are you?
  24. It is the most important thing......and also sales. I wonder how many bikes they HAVE to sell for what theyve done (costs) so far 10,000?
