  1. looks like early '90s model.
  2. I can tell you it's got some go! Probably Stephen Dixon riding it.
  3. I've had a quick go on the new 300, it certainly isn't lacking in the engine department!!!
  4. Sounds sweet! If it's a bit too loud for you, just repack the exhaust.
  5. Can you post a video of it idling?
  6. What copemech said, sounds normal! Get someone experienced to ride the bike for a second opinion, though you need to use the clutch on these bikes when turning tight. You have chosen possibly one of the most inappropriate bikes to learn on.
  7. Relax shercobent12, we're just teasing you!
  8. My throttle cable is a bit stiff, can someone hundreds of miles away tell me why? I would have a look myself but my bike is in the shed.
  9. Lucky Paulmac replied, as you may have had to resort to desperate measures like... maybe measuring the nut.

Possibly had the original shock replaced with a non original type after it failed?

So it was running fine until you took the carb off the night before? I'd go back there.
  12. Wow, only last week I was wondering what happened to Shaun after his eye accident, he was an awesome rider and I thought he may have kept his hand in on a bike. Then I saw this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2718732/Inside-100-000-fake-Timberland-Ugg-boot-empire-run-ex-world-motorbike-champion-bedroom.html

    motoswm not have any?
  16. Did you not stick a pie in the oven whilst you're doing it?
  17. Then he'll have 2 to repair!
  18. 1989 Fantic 305, as above looks like it will have been thrashed around. Definitely cost more to put right than its worth.
  19. On the right hand side??
  20. Having the lanyard clipped to your belt won't help if you've tried to dab on the downward slope & the bike is now on top of you!
  21. I would be looking at the stator, these fail often on sherco & beta machines of that era.
  22. You better be good if your turning up with that set up!
  23. My initial feeling jumping straight on the 250 ossa was either the pegs were high, or the front end was low, couldn't work out which. I also thought the power was very linear and very smooth, this gave the initial impression that it was underpowered but this turned out not to be the case, it is just the way the power comes in: linear!
