t-shock 250

They are a simple cycle speedo, there was a pickup on one of the spokes on the front wheel & the sensor was attached to the fork leg if i remember rightly. They never really worked properly, i wouldn't bother.

I think most people would say the 320 fourstroke is unsuitable for most things 290's are a straightforward bike , check suspension linkage bearings and listen for main bearings whirring. Stators can be a problem: look for kicking back on starting and cutting out when warm.

Factory kev installed the "factory kev" sticker on the mudguard.

Carb cleaner is not enough, you need compressed air.

Body position needs to be about 5 or 6, throttle control should be 9.

Probably not, Scott had water cooled machines in the 50's or 60's i seem to recall.

I find the 5 speed box a nuisance on the fast trail/fell going, it always seems to want a gear between 4th & 5th. It's not a problem for me in the sections though, i wouldn't let it stop you choosing a sherco. The most important thing is to try all the bikes & choose the one that feels right for you. The internet can't tell you that.

I've had falcons and rockshocks on the SWM, the falcons were very good, my only gripe really was that they needed rebuilding often and always needed new damper rods when sent back for a service/regas, this was fairly expensive. The rockshocks are very well made and don't have gas assistance so you can strip them down & tinker easier. Haven't quite got mine set up as good as the falcons yet though. I also had a set of Foral forks off an Aprilia fitted, (look similar to Paioli's, wouldn't surprise me if they were the same) these are very good, reliable and consistent.

Big, heavy, tall but well made. Make sure you have a good test ride so you know everything is OK. A bike of this age could have any number of problems depending on who has owned/maintained it in the past.

'94 was the last year of these.

Look at it this way: Pedrosa has a chance to win the title this year, more so now stoner has gone, and if he continues like this,maybe next year too. Dovi isn't a race winner at this level, therefore has no realistic championship chance. Who would you sign? I think Dani has underperformed a bit for Honda despite injuries but he keeps saving his job by pulling out a few good rides. Your right about Hayden though, he really needs a change of machine.

Fair comment, but Pedrosa has won quite a few races and is unbeatable on his day, Dovi has won 1 race in the big class (a wet race if i remember) he is consistent but falls short of MOTO GP championship winning potential.

Dovi has had a fair crack with a long spell on factory Honda's & he just wasn't good enough to be honest. Why on earth would Honda want him on the team again?

I have used the dunlops for a while now because i'm tight & they are cheaper than the X11's. I have found them to be a great tyre though, but they seem to take one or two trials before they offer the best grip. They do seem to last quite a while however.
