  1. Look about 3 threads down in this section, theres another "blip" discussion.

    1996 Gas Gas

Make sure the bike actually is a 96 and not a much older model as is a common trick.
  3. Keep an eye on their website, should be up before too long.
  4. Mouse nest in exhaust. OK probably not, but has happened before if a bike has been stood for a long while.
  5. There are a few people who have had multiple stator replacements on their betas ( & sherco) Keep it clean & dry seems to help.
  6. Would have to knock a few quid off the asking price in order to pay for a complete re-spray.
  7. Martin mathews at motoswm.com is your man.

    sorted by now

On the beta rev3 & sherco with the leonelli stator, the problem was nothing to do with the coils themselves, it was the hall effect sensor. Not sure about the set-up on the evo though.
  9. Looking at your videos there, it seems that you are placing the front wheel on top of the step, this will not preload the suspension enough. Try again on a bigger step and touch the front wheel just below the top of the step, no back brake required.
  10. Bou has said his bike will be different at the next round, maybe we'll see something then?
  11. If it was me, it would be mont 315 or 290 sherco, mont would be better for learning on though, lovely to ride.
  12. A.The gears won't select if you've turned the engine off, you think you're going down 2 gears but i bet its still in second. B. Your gearbox is actually 1 down and 5 up (not 5 up & 1 down) so you think you're in 2nd but your actually in 3rd.
  13. Bou has no idea about sport. Not once did he roll about on the floor holding his leg, abuse any officials, spit every 4 seconds or sleep with a prostitute. Pffft.
  14. I would say don't mod the bike just for the sake of it, whats the point of new bars if the current ones are fine. Keep the bike properly maintained, but don't buy bling parts just because they are available, save the money for essential maintenance and tyres, then get a newer bike after a year or two.
  15. I'm 6ft 2" and have an '05 sherco. I found my wrists were getting a bit sore whilst riding the bike with the standard bars. Then at one trial i started moving the brake & clutch levers slightly up then slightly down just to see what difference it made......suddenly the wrist ache disappeared! I was thinking about higher bars but now i'll leave everything alone while it's working.
  16. Those rocks near the ends look tricky, you might have to eat them before tackling the section!
  17. Which areas of the bike are you looking to improve?
  18. Engine parts: Peter Knight the Rotax man would be my first stop. What parts do you need?
  19. Post a pic & i'll tell you what year it is.
  20. Your best bet is to get someone to ride it at your next trial, most trials bikes could be described as "jerky" when ridden at very low revs. Chances are there's nothing actually wrong with it, but its hard to diagnose a problem like this over the internet.
  21. Bosis is a legend, i loved his all action riding style, pity he never became world champ but was oh so close.
  22. When you said disc valve engine i immediately thought "mecatecno 80" Also i think these had a single frame top tube with the engine slung underneath. Do a google search & see if it matches yours.
  23. My 2 penneth worth: This is not a good bike for a beginner, why not get something better suited, theres plenty of choice out there. If you have to take measures to calm the bike down so you can ride it then this is the wrong bike to start with.
