  1. Wasn't a "technical merger" mooted on here a couple of months back?
  2. I'd double check the ability to withstand todays ethanol laced fuel, it certainly rots fibreglass tanks these days.
  3. Your first stop is the Beta UK website to find out what model year you have. Then you need to investigate the clutch, measuring the plate thickness might shed some light on it.
  4. Yes, used the smaller Aprilia nut, foral forks.
  5. http://www.classicrider444.com/ The flywheel setup used for the electronic ignition isn't that far off the standard weight even though it's narrower.
  6. Paying attention to where your wheels SHOULD be going in the section. Trials is a lot, lot harder when you're off line.
  7. Stators fail, as do main bearings (listen for whirring) suspension linkage wears quickly and can be a bit costly to replace. Otherwise fairly sturdy.
  8. I have had 3 LWB transit connects, 90 HP and i average 42MPG running round half loaded with a good mix of urban & A-road driving. They have all been good reliable vehicles over the years with no real issues. Room for at least 2 bikes with the bulkhead fitted.
  9. Whats wrong with using the correct oil for the job? Its not like its expensive to stop dirt entering your engine.
  10. And you don't want more than a 250.
  11. What copemech said above, does not make more power, but provides some resistance to pinking. If you are looking to reduce pinking, start by tuning the carb first.
  12. About 8 or 9 years out i reckon!
  13. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...E:X:AAQ:GB:1123 Those aluminium frames look just like the steel ones!
  14. Wonder if Dougie would enter some of the BTC rounds? I'm sure a lot of people would be interested to see what happens especially with the current rules.
  15. Whats the weight issue with the bike?
  16. Can you get the betor shocks rebuilt with the correct springs for your weight?
  17. What makes you think more power & torque is better for a trials engine? especially with Joe average at the controls.
  18. On the Beta UK website there are pics & specs of all the previous models.
  19. Great vid, love the style of Bosis, such a shame at a young age.
  20. Can't believe this I have great memories of watching Bosis's flamboyant style in the '80s & '90s. The fact that he rode like this on those early aprilia's made him even more of a legend in my eyes! He was my favourite rider, i took the opportunity to accost him for an autograph through the open window of his caravan at the 89 world round, he laughed & signed my programme even though he was only wearing a pair of Y-front underpants at the time! RIP Diego.
