  1. I have been on one and was very impressed, smooth power, very light front end and the Ohlins rear shock really feels good - especially over the bigger rocks. The clutch was very light and to me the engine seemed to have plenty of power, it had instant power for steps etc but as I said earlier it is still a very smooth controlled response. The front brake was very good but I didn't really use the rear brake as I wasn't on it for too long. It had plenty of grip up muddy wet climbs, but as expected it needs a bit more work than 250. I found it to be far more suitable for me than the Beta 250 I have, mainly because of the extremly light front end, it was very flickable and didn't feel bulky in the slightest which is the sorta problem I have with Montesa's. All in all a great bike, lots of easy contollable power and a good shock for the bigger rocks and flicking around, I didn't get too longa go on it but the time I did have on it I loved.... Lloyd
  2. I think the statement that 'Gassers are by far the best' is completely biased as I would STRONGLY disagree that they are. I would personally say that Scorpa and Beta make very good quality bikes, but I'm not saying they're the best.... I would advise you going to a shop to test them out, the shops usually have somewhere with a bit of space to try the bikes out so then you can open the bike up and see what you reckon, also I would closely look at the build quality because for what you want its got to withstand a hammering on road as well as off road. Just my thoughts, Lloyd
  3. Here's a link to the web page......Click here Lloyd
  4. I have a only snapped one so have left it in and it is only pinched with one bolt What did you do? Lloyd
  5. On a similar note I have snapped a pinchbolt on my Beta before, but it could have been my fault (overtightening?). Lloyd
  6. I agree with you Mark, but then Telecat also has a point. I think he is pointing out where the organisers went wrong, so they can improve the next time. Afterall without feedback from the riders how can you know where you have gone wrong? I know when I help set out sections I always like to know from the riders whether I have got it right or not, and if I have got it slightly to easy/difficult I can balance it up the next time..... Lloyd
  7. I'm with you Villie, I prefer the Honda graphics. Lloyd

  11. Pretty cool Kinell, I wouldn't mind trying out some sections like that, although I think I would probably break something (on my body, not the bike) Lloyd P.S. Heres the link to the video if you want to see it :Click here
  12. I got it Friday and didn't think very much to it, mainly because of the lack of trials news. However I did think the review they did with the 4RT and Dougie Lampkin was good. Although it does lack in trials news I do understand why.... The ACU have to cater for many sports and so concentrating on more than one sport than another would be unfair. Pretty good for free though Lloyd

Looks like alot of fun to me Lloyd
  14. Theres some real confusion over this, I rang numerous different trials companys etc and mainly got that you don't need a speedo but there was still 2 out of the 6 that said you did. MOT's are pretty important, so I think that the real answer should be known so there is more clarity of what you need. Lloyd

  17. I think that it is good that someone has the sense to get together and discuss the issue of 4x4's and trial riders to try and sort it out. Afterall aren't they looking for the same as us? A place to practice etc without being a pain in the ar**. Lloyd

I noticed that too, but I invested in some aluminium bar ends and they soon cured it, and saved my throttle tube a hammering to Lloyd

I am getting some anodised screws done for my Beta and wondered if anyone else would be interested, because if I'm doing one set I could soon get some more sets done.... I can get a range of colours so let me know your thoughts and let me know if your interested. Lloyd

I use Renthal medium grips and they are excellent, they help when I'm holding on tight going fast or up a hill Lloyd
