  1. You wonder why Dallas want to finish Calgary off in Dallas.............
  2. Clarification... Stats could refer to Aberdeen CITY rather than Aberdeenshire, two different places mate. Any figures for Grampian would be skewed if the city and shire are taken together. Highest crime rate out here in the shire refers to Sheep sha&&ing That'll be the sexual offences....
  3. To avoid shutter lag realistically it's SLR time, however even something like the Nikon D40 or Canon 400 which are tiny would still be quite bulky to carry in a trial. I don't use "point and press" Digital cameras for the simple reason of shutter lag, I couldn't suggest anything
  4. Could have been but didn't they the offer him money to race these extreme enduros etc?? maybe a combination of factors
  5. Baaahhhhh...Yorkshire genealogy. Still look at it this way, you could commit murder if you don't like the mother in law and make a fair curry out of her...indegestion is short lived
  6. I'd suggest that he'd easily take top tens with the possibility of pulling a lower placing from time to time, 7th, 8th thereabouts, however lets be honest he wouldn't pull top 5 places anymore. Factor in that Graham chose to step out and look at other things, respect for that, he chose his path.
  7. I've started playing about with panning and following the rider rather than focusing on where I want to take the shot and waiting for them to fill the frame. I'm getting some decent results from it. Problem is the buggers take off so fast for jumps like that. As far as the drinking goes, I was up, out of my tent (TC mobile HQ!) and had the water on the boil for my coffee before any of the rest of our motley crew had even surfaced. Tried some panning in the ice rink for some good shots and at scrambles not massivley successful but hjave a few goodies. ....and we've only your word for that.....
  8. nice, eye was in today even after all that drink last night.......
  9. ....and the end point of this cataclysmic warming...the next ICE AGE....go figure..
  10. The whole of society is a contradiction these days, no two pepole have the same opinion, no two universities will tell you they found the same results in their research because the'll lose their individual research grants and have to get a proper job instead. The food industry will tell you one thing is bad in the hope you'll buy their products instead, everyone has an angle and they'll look for their minute of fame if they have a net gain. It's not just the medical profession it's everywhere, take mine, the constant argument about global warming is it real is it hype, why are programms that go the "whole way" explain the potential full net effect of global warming are decried because the whole media is hyping the warming effects. It's pure hype nothing else. Piccy below is the latest impacts advice from the IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change), this release is pure hypothesis but already the media are jumping on it.... The coffee stuff, well I enjoy a cup or two but not addicted, though if you add some vanilla syrup everytime I could think about it.... As far as the advice Billy has been giving on here, I've started (subconciously) doing some of what he said, ask me in a few weeks I'll tell you how i feel.
  11. heard nothing yet - wish they'd get their finger out and post them though - i'm sure the've nothing better to do. ps Sundays route is not going to be quite that simple Gizza - i hear it will involve some compulsory formation riding. Is that everyone Mark or just the WOFTAM's Dunno but I sure hope Gizza isn't the one sat on top. mind you it could be a lot worse........I could be at the top (say it myself before any of you shower get the chance)

Are you heading up? Someone said to me yesterday you seemed like a nice bloke. They've obviously not met you! Funnily enough, someone said the same about you last weekend...... No weekend on, Day shift Sat and Sun, Mrs S is threatening it but only to pi$$ me off...... Nope I'm gearing up for a couple of weeks time, really looking forward to it, worse than a two year old this year....observing the pre 65 and a new camera to play with all week yeehaa
  14. You're wrong Gizza.... Sunday: Start at the Parc Ferme out turn left, cross at the traffic lights, turn up on to the main street, straight along the main street turn left in the Volunteer Arms couple of pints, exit, watch parade take pics, walk along to the Alex couple of pints, head back to the caravan, open bottle of malt start the week as you mean to go on

  18. Rob Warner ????
  19. So far off topic but if the boss is contributing........ In simple terms Doug is the greatest ever, Cota Kid has backed this up with stats and we all know what we have seen over the last 10 years. Don't get me Jordi was amazing to watch but then so was Lejeune (the real one ), Michaud, Saunders etc etc etc I'd look at it another way as well: Before Doug no one had ever won more than three titles consecutively, Doug took his seven on the run. What this suggests is that the amount of progress each individual champion made in terms of changing the sport, moving the goal posts if you like is relative to the number of consective titles they took. Vesty won three from 76 to 78 and moved the sport a huge amount then similarly Eddy his three in the early 80s. When Jordi took the first of his people wondered when he'd be challenged, it was only three seasons later that Tommi Ahvala took the crown. Jordi fought back and nailed the next three but when Colomer took the crown from Jordi the opposition had caught him up again...........it took the rest of the World Trials elite SEVEN years to wrestle the title away from Doug (and if I remember there were injuries involved there.) I don't think it matters what way you look at it Dougie Lampkin is the greatest rider in the history of our sport. Oh and the Topic: Dibs has had a brilliant start on the 4rt and in Bosis and TRW a team that can easily motivate him into the top three in the world.
  20. Boys get this on topic sensibly, otherwise I'll delete it before it turns into a slagging match Forum Mod
  21. See now you've blown it Dom, you are actually trying to understand it as well
  22. Bou Fuji Raga though I doubt it will happen as Bou has done what Dougie did and raise the bar, Lampkin, Bou, Fuji would be a much better end... 100 gp wins is definately on though
  23. What a man......no running no way I'm doing that fun run now...thanks Billy
  24. I'll take some too, I should have done the same....
