  1. I Tried to embed your video,I don't seem to know how
  2. Test ride a Sherco too.
  3. Might be,here's Jim Snell on his sharp old Gasser at our trials last weekend.
  4. Double jump was the section with the big tires and the spool,What you can't see is they had to land with the brakes full on to keep from running over the boundry,we had a loose rolypoly log between the culvert pipes that screwed with you if you didn't jump it. Yes,That is Mr.Snell,we've had a section named "Snell's Revenge" for several years now, story predates my entry into the trials world so I can't relay it. We had 73 riders saturday,65 on sunday, pretty good I think!
  5. My knees start to ache if my day to day shoes get worn down in the heels, stretches out the calf muscles and puts different pressure on my kneecaps I guess, made me think I was getting old, figured i out the cause all by myself,no doctor required, they were trying to drug me Now they're completely without pain, think I'll go buy them new workboots this weekend for being so nice to me lately
  6. When you name a section after a guy he kinda gotta show up and ride (Can't imagine there's a nicer vintage Gasser on planet earth!)
  7. If you're working a event always loan your bike to a non-trials riding friend- They'll have a blast!-
  8. I think you can get them cheaper than $13,795.00 here, does take a little time to get it all arraigned and accomplished.
  9. Could it be 27mm? Motion pro makes one,saw two hanging on the rack at the local accessory store today.
  10. We spent a very nice week in a cabin on Nickajack lake last year, wouldn't mind doing that again,It was even the week of the ITSA event but wasn't able to get down there in time to attend(Was a Vacation away from everything anyway, including motorcycles!) But Jennie said I could do it again and bring the bike next time,so It'll be the plan! As soon as the schedules announced we'll get in gear
  11. Keep watchin' your mailbox We'll have to make it to TTC sometime next year at the same time,This year I'm concentrating on Trials Inc.events, but next year I hope to do more traveling. You are welcome to make the drive up if you'd like, there actually seems to be a tiny spark of interest rising up in twinshocks in T.I. recently.
  12. Should be big fun again! http://www.trialsinc...gger=sch2&ID=31 Slideshow from last year- http://www.flickr.co...rialsshots/show

    Just An Update

Different Strokes I guess, narrower bars always make me feel cramped and pull my shoulders and arms down, limiting how well I can twist the throttle. Before you hack off your bars just slide your throttle and left grip in some and give it a go,easy to go back to original width then without having to buy new bars. I also like mine well forward, but if I go too far it kills my ability to turn left full lock, but it seems to help my balance, since I haven't learned to hop yet I just run the bars in the conventional position for now.
  14. Really,if work has slowed just ride whatcha got... That said,I freakin' love my 2011 250 Sherco, smooth power, plus it seems to have a magical balance thing going on, When I feel a dab coming on I just don't do it and it's like an invisible friend runs up behind me and hold me up and the bike pulls me through. I also love the loud intake, makes for a audible throttle position/engine load/rpm sensor to provide feedback to my brain cells. I haven't tasted a Beta yet, keep passing on ride offers,Although the 4t's are very interesting...
  15. You guys do realize how event attendance would triple if you had a Quad class Running over your own flipflop is likely a 5...
  16. I alway like to say "Check yer grounds" on crap like this, ignition to engine, engine to frame, coil grounds, ect. Not familar with Refluxes but if yours has a battery that could cause issues if it's bad. Does it have a resistor in the plug cap? Seems like I remember those causing problems in old hondas. P.S.My buddy Bill just bought one of those new Honda dualsport 250s,getting 80mpg right outa the crate...Looks cool, runs smooth(Fuel Injected),pleasant to ride, shifts perfectly, and dirt cheap!!!!under 5k out the door...Bill has a couple of Reflex he could be street riding too, prefers a little comfort instead
  17. Does it wind up slowly or does it only rev to a certain point and no more? Rev slowly is normal, only rev to certain point could be clogged exhaust or air filter Carb floats may be saturated if it sat with alcohol fuel for several months.
  18. I'm in for a group U.S. buy,I was quoted $125 or so for the shipping, paul said he could do two units at that price, Which would make them about $215 each, stout, but would make a good lookin' TY...maybe less if we could get more than two ordered, but we'd have shipping inside U.S. to consider, and Customs fees(I didn't get dunned for Customs on my ClassicTrials fuel tank for quite awhile after I got the tank)
  19. Too bad you didn't come, there were a couple of TY175 there and the vintage guys decided to bump up and ride the intermediate line to make it more interesting, makes me want to get my 240 buffed out so I'd get my money's worth if I wanna ride vintage at the events! I don't know if I'll make Wildwood,6 and 1/2 drive for me.
  20. Dayton,Oh trials this weekend,http://www.trialsinc...gger=sch2&ID=33 bring her over and ride vintage class,we need some more vintage riders. Then Newark,Oh is labor day weekend, then Stoney Lonesome Sept 15th,16th. Vintage bikes ride Novice line.(Your free to ride any class you want though) BTW,My Oko drives me crazy, works great in my back yard,if I take her out anywhere away from home she floods over, cleaned multiple times, replaced filter repeatedly, lowered float level, ready to source a new Dellorto for my Fantic (Does run great when not flooding)
  21. Before you fire up your bike put it in 3rd gear and rock it back and forth(not too roughly) until the clutch breaks free, this stops the runaway moment plus has the added benefit of charging the cylinder with fuel so It'll fire on the first kick.
  22. Is this attack being originated by the press? I may be a Hoosier but I voted anyway
  23. If that'd been me it'd be a different finger pointin' at ya
