  1. Hi Kev, welcome along. I've only ever seen a trail bike take part in a proper trial once and it didn't end well. The guy smashed all his indicators and the rear cluster too ! Needless to say sadly he didn't come back. Maybe you could consider getting a proper trials machine. Even though i'm rubbish at trials and fall off all the time I still find it very addictive.
  2. You could try a 250 , a much better sized machine for starting on. I made the mistake of buying a 290, got a 250 now. Massive difference. Good luck.
  3. Hi bud was wondering about those woods you mentioned. Do you have permission to ride there or can any one just turn up ?
  4. Yeah got a thumbs up and a thank you
  5. You wouldn`t believe this but I saved a bubbies bike twice on Wednesday using the hand over the exhaust method after his carb had iced up (playing in the snow @ Warden Law). I and I`m sure he can`t thank you guys enough. If i`d not read this item I wouldn`t have known what to do.
  6. Do you switch this over with the engine on or off? And mines a gas gas so is the button pressed in for on or sticking out for on ????????????
  7. What about those bar end thingy`s that stop yourbar from digging inor getting stuck on ?
  8. Silicone eats into you`re alloy rim and destroys it. Total nightmare to get off. Unless you sell the bike this method will cost you a small fortune in the long run. ( or the next owner ) Sorry to sound harsh but I speak from experience.
  9. Welcome along Gavin, you`re lucky living where you do as both Consett and Castleside clubs are good. Look forward to seeing you at the trials very soon.
  10. Hi Jerry I remember you off of the telly, welcome along. Hope you enjoy your journey down trials road. Sorry can`t help with your question though.
  11. There are some great video`s on you tube with step by step rebuild guides. I think they are by gas gas ! Good luck.
  12. Not sure about the little machines but if they`re the same set up as the bigger machines it`s an engine out, complete strip down job. All new gaskets needed, and you may aswell change the bearings and seals while you`re on. You`ll need a flywheel puller too. Hope this helps.
  13. Wish I could do more trials
