cello started following Beta Techno 250 1996 Water Pump Issues and a clutch Question
-
I know this has been covered many times before but I'm wondering how best to remove the bearings from the impeller shaft? Also the metal drive gear will need to be swapped to a new shaft unless they are bought as a single item , I cannot see any wear on the shaft but if I'm changing the bearings and seal it makes sense to replace the shaft does it not....... The impeller was toast when i took the pump cover off and the circlip was missing so thats either somewhere else in the engine or the previous owner failed to fit one. I,ve also noticed the water pump drive seal and bearings are easily sourced from a bearing / seal company at a 1/3 of the price from going to Beta or Trials dealership....mmmmmm Re the clutch , i,ve not had a chance to ride the bike yet but noticed the plates waggle in the basket as if there if thebasket bolts are loose, which they are not. Is this normal ? One other question on the front brake rotor which has to much play in the top hats that seat it to the hub , I asume these are worn and need replacing if they sre still available , any idea of the size in case I have to source them from somewhere else?

2021 em escape no longer runs. Help!
dvtechnics replied to dvtechnics's topic in EM (Electric Motion)
Yes, maps cycles thru no problem. No tone on maps change but we did have a low pulse tone from the battery that maybe happened 3 times outta the 50 odd times we've started the bike to test. -
Dry air would be OK as a temporary measure, but moisture in the air will eventually cause corrosion. This thread mentions pressure: https://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/69619-ozo-pro-trials-rear-shocks-a-look-inside/page/2/

I have a set of OZO shocks on my SWM TL320. They aren’t leaking oil but are very springy/bouncy. They have shrader valves can i fill them with air? If so how much? I know you’re supposed to fill with nitrogen but I have a trials this weekend and no way to get that done right now. But the air would be temporary. Thanks

I was riding and clutch was getting less pressure at lever until no pressure at all. I managed to ride back to truck. i found a burn mark on line by the exhaust pipe and lower was wet on line towards clutch cover. i opened master cylinder ( mineral oil) and was empty. I just sold my KTM 300 so have changed out my clutch line before but on the Gas Gas do I just unscrew the line from clutch cover and master up top and replace then use syringe to force mineral oil from bottom up? mahalo! riding on Oahu🤙🏾

Can you cycle through all the maps? Does the motor emit a tone when you change maps? If so, the controller may not be seeing the throttle input. You'll need a multimeter and some skill troubleshooting electrical circuits. Wiring diagram for the EM Race is here: https://www.electricmotiontech.com/home/em-epure-race/wiring-diagram The Escape will be similar.

Had this happen to one of my ggs years ago. Once fixed you need to tie the clutch line to one of the down tubes where the exhaust comes out with a zip tie. As for rebleeding, what you have described is correct. There should be a bleed nipple on the banjo where it enters the clutch casing. Just bleed like you would a brake cylinder

Hey guys. My 2021 em escape r has stopped working. Ran it thru a pretty boring run up the mountain, came back down, everything was fine. The next day I go to start it and nothing. The battery engages, lanyard works, head display shows 98% and switching map to green light but their is zero power to the motor. Tried the reset cycle. Nothing. Even went as far as to replace the throttle control with a new domino throttle. Nothing. Has anyone dealt with this problem or does anyone know how the heck to fix this? Checked all connections, battery, fuse and everything's good.

Great little video from a new rider here in the Canadian Maritimes . She was sharing a Beta 200 for the event. I was sharing my EM with the landowner and her Husband and son were sharing my Sherco 250 - Great day of fun at new venue for us and great to have new riders out. I thought her description was great !!! 227 views May 29, 2025 NOVA SCOTIA Trials riding is no joke—and neither is trying it for the first time! I entered my very first trials competition as a total beginner and, well… I lost count of how many times I hit the ground. 😅 But honestly? It was one of the most fun and humbling moto experiences I’ve ever had. This video captures the real, unfiltered chaos—crashes, laughs, mini wins, and everything in between. If you’ve ever thought about trying trials or just want to see what happens when a rider jumps into the deep end, this one’s for you. 🏍️ Come along for the ride (and the falls). #FirstTrialsEvent #TrialsBeginner #MotorcycleFails #MotoJourney #FallAndGetBackUpSocial #RideLikeAGirl

🤙🏾 I was there for a month trying to rent and ride there but sadly it never happened. Terrain looked awesome for trials riding in places I'm sure you're not allowed to ride.

& Aloha what island do you ride? 😎

Determine if your clutch operates on DOT brake fluid or thin Oil Determine if the problem is in the Master cylinder, brake line or Slave cylinder Replace parts and install is fairly easy requiring very few special tools outside of possibly a big plastic medical type syringe similar to in the picture below Easiest way to fluid fill is generally from the bottom bleed vent screw

Did it leak out where you can see it or inside the engine casings?

I have several front and rear mudguards to try out. Different makes, painted or unpainted, with or without stickers, with or without a light. I need to reconnect the rear master cylinder, correct the fork's compression stop, refinish the wiring harness, and redo the fork stickers. But it's starting to look like the '96 world champion bike.

The engine needs to be rotating to change gears. To test, you must rotate the flywheel (or rear wheel) by hand while you operate the gear lever.

Hi, did you have any luck in sourcing these seals? I have the same problem on my 2001 txt 250 with Hebo calipers F&R. The calipers are not too bad, but I could do with some pistons and seals. All the best

"Shorting out on points cover". I sent my bike to two garages. Neither could sort it out. Finally I was looking at the engine when I noticed a little black mark on the inside of the points cover. It was arcing across to the cover and shorting out,
