Just purchased this old girl off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=160309486913 and its a nice little runner after de-seizing the throttle valve and carb clean etc but my question is why does a 493 ty have a S bend type stand instead of the straight type ? Dave

Hi, I hope someone can help! I have a 1980 Cota 200, the kickstart works fine but when you manually turn the flywheel the kick mechanism can be heard to ratchet on the pawl. I have removed the cover and cant see anything missing or amis! Has any one else got one and is this normal? The bike starts and runs great. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Hello I am trying to find a source for bushings for my three Dalesmans. One 71 Mx Lynx and two Enduros.I have tried numerous places and have run out of ideas.Can provide piccs and dimensions. I am sure these were probably common to other bikes as well. Any ideas?

Are the Falcon's self service? the seals blow after about 12 months and it is getting dear to keep sending them back to chirpy Mr Falcon. I can get them re gassed localy but how do they come apart?

Hi there eveyone, I'm new to this forum (I've browsed it before), I have just bought a fantic 200, (just to muck about on, no comps) it's a runner but with problems.......can't get it to tickover properly, and it has a starting problem........sometimes 1st kick and away she goes........sometimes it just will not start.....!!! Tried allsort but I now think I might need to replace the carb. I might go for one of these OKO ones..??? Also, the bike will not start with the clutch pulled in, has to be in neutral, clutch out, to start. Duh!! Don't get it?? I'm gonna see if I can get some help/ideas here..or else sell it and start again. I've just put it on the well known e-m…

Hi there, Does anyone know if anybody makes a sump guard (bash plate) that fits the Cota 247. I know they didn't have them fitted in the factory but the bottom frame tubes of my Cota are getting quite chewed up and could do with a bit of protection. Thanks Simon

I know of at least 3 short stroke works Honda still around (Mick Grants included), but does anybody know if any long stroke works Honda are still in existance?

I have a 300 Raga rep, but I find it to tiring to ride for more than an hour at a time ( too old and too fat) so I am looking for a twinshock, which I think would suit me better. I noticed a 325 sherpa on ebay (4617232738). I dont know much about them so any advice would be helpfull, e.g. would that be suitable, Im 6`2 and 16 stone. Also is the price reasonable

Have just seen brief mention of a Dartmoor 2 day trial which apparently runs in September. Does anyone have any further info? Would like to know if it's open to twinshocks, if it's relatively easy or severe, if it's all off-road or partly on-road (i.e. do bikes have to be road legal) and, if possible, the contact details of the Secretary of Meeting. Hi there, Suddenly can't get my KT to fire up. Used to start 1st time every time no matter how long stood or what the temperature was. Now, after several kicks, will only run for a few seconds and then dies completely. Have checked the obvious; nice fat spark at the plug, fuel in the tank etc. There's no 2 stroke oil tank fitted and I have been premixing the fuel using fully synthetic 2 stroke at 50:1 ratio. Someone else told me recently they had problems using synthetic 2 stroke in their kh250 and so I wondered if that could be the problem with the kt? Any help appreciated Cheers
