Im hoping to fit a pair of ty mono forks to my majesty does anybody know if the majesty front wheel can be used or will I need to fit the whole mono front end as at the moment Ive only got the forks

Hi i have a problem with an irc tyre on a fantic wheel.I fitted the tube type tyre just after buying the bike ,the problem is that the tyre turns on the rim i have tried new tyre clamps but it is still the same.I have another bike with fantic wheel and irc with no problems so not sure if it could be worn rim or faulty tyre.Has anyone had this problem with irc tyres.

Has anyone tried riding trials on a KT250 using only three of the six clutch springs? I've done this with a couple of TY250 twinshocks and it works out very nicely. Before I try it on my KT, has anyone already tried it?

I just took a very old front trials tyre off a recently acquired M49 Sherpa and thought it felt a bit heavy. It is a Firestone made in Spain with vee pattern blocks and is worn down to about 3mm block height. The worn out old Firestone weighs 4765 grams while the slightly worn 2003 tube-type Michelin that went onto the bike weighs 3506 grams. For non-metric people that is a weight difference of more than 2.5 pounds. I hate to think what an unworn Firestone would weigh. The sidewall of the Firestone has a little brag label saying "gum dipped" which I guess was a pretty cool thing at the time. Help! I have a fiberglass Bultaco 199A fuel tank that is leaking along the bottom edge seems. The tank was sealed at one point in its life with a "Kreem" type product. What is the best way to proceed in resealing the tank: a. Pour a new sealer over the existing one? b. Try and remove/disolve the old sealer? c. Apply resin to the drip edge seam and hope for the best? I poured and flushed the interior several times with Laquer Thinner, although this did a wonderful job of cleaning the tank it did not remove the sealent material. I have considered flushing with Acetone, however, I am concerned that this would eat in to the fibergla…

Hi All I have a 250 MAR 1976 mk3, I have purchased a clutch for it (Surflex part number S1202) The clutch in the bike (and one I also have from another 1976 mar) has one thick steel plate, Five friction plates, four thin steel plates and the pressure plate has a plate attached to it.Also all the steel plate working faces are dimpled to allow the oil to flow (I guess!) The set supplied has Five friction plates and Six plain "undimpled" steel plates. Looking at manuals I can find slightly earlier engines did use Six undimpled steel plates (one is thicker mind you) with the last steel plate going in last. Hi, after mounting a new timing chain my TLR 200 has a huge base engine knocking noise What I did: Changed the timing chain cleaned out the centrifugal oil filter on the right side After the rebuild refilled with oil, started the unit and: the noise from the chain slack was gone but a huge knocking noise from the bottom end came on. The noise is in sync with engine speed and does not fade away like after the refill of a dry engine. Has anybody on here had to date a Seeley for registration purposes. If I want to date a Yamaha I know to write to Yamaha and obtain a letter. But who sorts it out to register a Seeley. Hi I have been off my bikes for several months (valid excuse available). But before my break I was having problems with hand cramp particularly when riding my Cota 247 which has a pretty heavy clutch despite the long arm. So a few weeks ago I ordered a part called Easy Clutch off ebay from a guy in UK for about $30AUD delivered (love our exchange rate)I only got it fitted correctly today and wow what an improvement. Gone from 3 fingers straining to 1 finger easy. Takes a bit of fiddling as intended for modern thinner cables but worth the effort Best $30 I have spent since I bought the compression release

Who made the best drum brakes and what made them better than the others?

Hi all, I have a new front sprocket to fit on my Cota 330 but it doesn't have a keyway - only a taper. I haven't removed the old one yet but I am sure I can see a keyway. Is the new one faulty or are do they rely on a taper only for the replacements. The new sprocket is a Talon. Oh and the reason I haven't removed the old one yet is because I can't!!! Damn that thing is tight, It's been heated, prised and hit on the nut with a big hammer and still won't budge. I am going to have to make a puller to fit, unless anyone has any ideas?

Can anyone give me any suggestions what bike uses a simple 'bung' type petrol top of roughly 41mm diameter. The top I got with the bike is of a hard rubber/artificial rubber material with a plastic top, this has Chinese or Japanese style writing on it but no-one seems to know what it comes from. I am pretty sure its from an obscure bike oil tank or petrol tank. Unfortunately this is too worn to seal, hence the car cap I am using. Alternatively has anyone any suggestions what I could use - or modify to use as a top. I have just machined the original top for 2 O rings but am still not happy with the seal on this.
