Finally got my Butler running but only with the choke slides fully closed on the air filter? Ticks over and runs lovely, pilot jet at 2 turns out and it takes throttle so why is this. No obvious air draws, any ideas welcome. I've been told to try an Enfield amal but would like to get it running as original. Cheers, peter

Hi, I need the right angle speedo drive box for the British Hub Co. full width alloy hub on my Greeves and of course these hubs were fitted on many lightweights of the era.The threaded mounting hole in the hub is 10mm or so in length and the drive cog on the hub sits about 19mm in from the outside of the hub plate. I wonder if anyone knows of a source of these or is it a case of scouring the autojumbles?. If anyone knows the part number or original maker of these, that would be interesting too.

Hi, Calling all BSA experts, thinking about building another pre 65 trials bike, would the C15C make a good starting point? Seems to have been designed as a scrambler,(looks like a stronger frame than the road bikes) so i guess had higher compression and a bigger cam ?

I have a bantam frame. The frame number starts BD25**** but its very faint, I’m not sure of the year or type (think it’s a D7) I’m in the process of fitting a C15 engine, how hard would it be to get a V5 for this frame / Bike?

I'm needing to change the back tyre on my 350 Matchless. The options available are a Michelin x lite or x11, an IRC, or a Dunlop. These are all designed with modern machinery in mind, but can anyone provide any advice on which wiuld best suit a heavyweight pre-unit?

I purchased a project C15 (1960) with no head steady and then bought one off of eBay. The one I purchased has a flat bar to connect head to frame clamp but it did not seem to fit so I used a simple spacer. It all fits together but is too wide and interferes with the gas tank. Is this the wrong head steady? Could someone describe what the correct one would look like? It looks pretty simple to make....maybe just longer where it attaches to the head. See the picture.

Has anyone used the new 20mm Amal on a standard capacity Tiger Cub motor? How does it perform, particularly on a "snap" throttle opening off low revs? Is it as good as the cheap "pit bike" Mikuni type carbs? Comments appreciated. Cheers.
