Hi all After having to put on soaked boots for day 2 of Nationals. .....I bought a new pair/second pair. I was told Novagar has gone under and bought the last pair my size available in SA. I paid R2300 SA rand (130 pounds I think?) My first pair was donated and after some stitching work, I squeezed another year out of them. I know there is better but I like them and they get the job done....at my level.

Ocassionally, riding as we do in the rocks etc. we come up with bent rim flanges. Dean has a pretty good one at the moment. Straightening with a hammer always seems to work harden and crack them prior to them getting where you want them. Straightening in the press is always a challenge to get it set up and held. I have had fairly good luck pulling them back into shape with a 15" crescent. I have also just left them alone and not had problems with them. Anyone have experience's good or bad about leaving them alone and maybe the pro's and con's of that?

Hi folks. I've not long treated myself to a TRS One R 250 and was hoping you could please advise on what tools I should have in the garage for maintenance and repair? Size of socket sets etc? My knowledge is pretty limited so it will be a learning on the job scenario as stuff breaks and maintenance is required. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

Surely no Spaniards* would ride otherwise the French riders would go on strike. *Particularly those who spat their dummies out last season when the odd Brit and Jap entered theirs

It probably hasn't come out yet in Europe but the Bourne stuntguy does some trials during the motorcycle chase that happens right after the scooter chase. You can clearly see the trials tread as he zaps up a 7 foot wall and up the steps. It looks like a 4RT with side panels and other add ons to make it look like an enduro bike.

Dissembled clutch on 1985 beta Tr32 and no thrust bearing is present. Just a couple of plain washers. Clutch wasn’t great but still slightly worked. Why is this and what further damage will it have caused?

Hi. I have a 2007 Beta Rev3 with a Paioli shock. The shock body was damaged by the previous owner, so I have built a new shock body and repaired the bladder, but need to buy a new bladder to finish the job properly. Does anyone know how to contact the Paioli Factory for spares or know where I can buy a new bladder ?? Cheers. Moshi. New Zealand

Just wanted to see if any other 4RT owners have noticed what I did after I changed the stock gearing. I have heard from several sources how Montesa radically decreased the old 4-stroke braking effect by giving the engine a shot of fuel when throttle is closed. When I first rode the bike with the stock gearing that braking effect was pretty much gone. Since I felt the 41 tooth was a little tall for my riding style, I changed to a 44 tooth, which I like a lot, however, guess what is back. The old 4-stroke braking effect, when I let off the throttle in first. It really doesn't bother me that much, but, I was wondering if anyone else had made note of it.

I always enjoy Mike's forum. I also enjoy shirties comments and the posts some of the the top riders put on their own web sites linked from TC. As an idea would it be interesting to have a forum where these influential people could post their comments (or duplicate what they put on their own home pages) and be the only people to open up a new topic, we all could comment but not start a new thread. Would give us riders, organizers and spectators and chance to see what the riders and importers are saying in one focused area and allow us a chance to respond. Anybody any thoughts

Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows why the left hand fork appears to come higher out of the top of the yokes than the right? And if not, should they be level?
