  6. Started by araf,

For my sins, I have written up a report, so here you go. My Pampera had its first MOT on Saturday, and I removed the race numbers from the last time I had used it (Surrey Pol in October). Loaded the van on Saturday, and then went out to dinner with a crowd from the N. Kent TRF, and some others who had come down from the Midlands to do the event. Saturday night it rained. Sunday morning when I got up it was raining, and so I thought about unloading the van and going back to bed. Un-enthusiastically, I drove to Maidstone, scrutineered, signed on, and got a cup of coffee. At least the sun was now shining, but I still wasn

  8. Midland Classic Trial Bonsall Quarry, Bonsall Moor, Matlock Derbyshire. Neither gale force winds nor torrential rain deterred the competitors at the Midland Classic Trials Club event at Bonsall Quarry near Matlock on Sunday. The venue had been doused by the incessant rain making the sections and trails exceedingly slimy and treacherous. Some riders even claiming to have lost marks due to the gales blowing them off course. However the organisers excelled in tailoring the 8 sections ridden 5 times to suit the prevailing conditions and a good days sport was enjoyed by the 22 riders attending. No one remained clean but the winners of both routes, Rob Turner and Barrie Rodg…

The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding a round of the Midland Centre Group Trials Championship at Sambourne Farm near Studley on 3rd August. Clerk of the Course and farm manager, Dave Heming has fourteen dual route sections planned following a giant four mile lap across the stubble fields around the farm. As Group Trials are for club teams of six riders, the organisers wish to point out that the popular B route will be clubman friendly with no hopping or bouncing needed whilst the A route will be quite a tester! Sambourne Farm will be signposted from the A435 at Coughton Court. As this is a Centre Championship round, there will be no entries on the day. Regulations …

  16. Peak Classic Trials Club held round 8 of their 2015 Championship at Carsons Farm last Sunday 30th August and firstly we would like to thank all the riders and observers who turned out on the Bank Holiday weekend to support the Club. Carsons Farm is a small compact but popular venue and the Clerk of the Course Paul Beswick had still managed to find a challenging mixture of rocks, tree roots and climbs for the riders to enjoy and test their skills on. Four laps of 10 sections was the order of the day and the Expert British Bike class was won in fine style by Simon Bown on his newly rebuilt BSA Bantam which he is slowly getting to his liking and his winning score of …

Sheffield & Hallamshire motor club are hosting the final round of the Challenge Lusky British sidecar trials championships in the vicinity of Hope in Derbyshire on Sunday 7th November. The trial will have the usual sidecar classes but will also have a solo Expert and Clubman route. This year a new team is running the event and we have made significant changes largely to the route of the trial. For any regulars we will be starting at the usual Blue Circle cement works in Hope village and will take in the usual starter group of Elmore Hill farm at Brough which is only a couple of miles from the start and then the ride over to the excellent rocky stream at Offerton Hal…
