The S&H club trial being run at Bracken Rocks on 15th of this month will be set out to cater for Adult Clubmen, Novices & Beginners and Youth Classes A,B & C. Adult Experts & Inters are more than welcome but don't expect to drop more than a handful of marks on the hard route. Bracken Rocks can be an unforgiving place for those of less ability and given the feedback from the last event held there in January, I'll try and make it a decent day out for every one. If you read this please pass the word around... Thanks.

  5. Hi all, this Sunday 13th February, Sheffield & Hallamshire mc are running a trial at Dudwood Farm, Elton in Derbyshire with a start time of 10:30am. This is a change to our usual Eadons Fields venue and will be a bit of a change. All classes are catered for except sidecars and youth D class. The trial will have 3 routes: hard, clubman and easy and will be run under no-stop rules. The trial will be layed out very flowing with nothing silly and will be a good day out for all. The easy route is aimed at riders wanting a nice run round with their mates and is suitable for beginners. It would be nice to see a few of you there. Observers are always required and will be r…

All, Just to let you know S & H will be running a trial at Eadens Field, Barlow Lees Lane, Dronfield next Sunday 27th November. Adult Expert, Inters & Novice, plus Youth A, B & C. Three routes Hard, Middle and Easy. Starts at 11:00am. Hope to be able to offer a challenge on the Expert route and a "good day out" on the middle and easy routes. Thanks

  7. Hi there I'm sur eI read some where there was a sheffield and hallamshire trial at the end of april. Their website seems to be out of date. I'm a complete novice, I presume they will have a suitable class for me? What other documents, licences etc do I need to get in order to compete? Cheers

  8. Started by andat,

Due to the sterling efforts of Mark Timperley clearing the lane with his snow plough and RT re-doing the sections, we will now run our Christmas Trial on Sunday 28th December. Due to limited notice we will run 3 laps of 10 sections. Observer gratuity will be £20 per head. Barlow Lees Lane and Cowley Lane have been cleared from Holmesfield (near the Rutland Arms). Gosforth Lane up to Dronfield Hill top is passable with care, but local numpty drivers are making it a painful process. Hopefully MT will have cleared it by this evening if the locals get out of the way long enough for him to get it cleared. Cheers

  12. Buttyfold Farm was the venue for Round 7 of the AMCA Winter Championship. Set beneath the famous Roaches in the heart of the peak district where no fewer than 47 riders turned out to do battle. Sunshine was ordered but didn’t appear instead a dry but bitterly cold wind arrived and blew all day long. However these conditions didn’t bother either Sam Yeomans Jst Gas Gas UK or Billy Craig P7 Gas Gas as both riders managed to go clean all day on the expert route leaving them to tie in joint 1st place which believe me was no easy feat, followed home by Robbie Turner & Pete Ruscoe on 13 & 14 marks respectively. The clubman class saw the bulk of the entries with 18 ride…

Just like to say well done to the Sidcup Trials club for a great trial on sunday. The weather was terrible, with heavy rain before and during the trial, but we (me and my mate) still had a great day, finished covered in mud and worn out. Results and pics on the webb site Sunday evening. A big thanks to the Observers, they must have been frozen. TLTEL

  16. Midsummer (29th and 30th June) will see the Bon Accord Motorcycle Club quite literally breaking new ground when they run what will surely be the most northerly motorcycle trial ever staged in the United Kingdom. This exciting new addition to the calendar will be held at West Burrafirth in the Shetland Islands, a distance of some 250 miles north of the club’s home base in Aberdeen. First hatched as “one of those ideas in the pub” some six years ago, this trial has been born out of the sheer determination of a handful of riders based in Shetland to have a trial on their home ground. Bon Accord club president Bill McGregor recalls how the Shetland connection star…

Quite simple really, I would like to thank the Somerton Classic team, the landowner, all the observers and riders for a great weekend up on the Mendips. A weekend of riding alongside other like minded riders on proper trials bikes, with sections to suit all abilities of riders and bikes - it can be done ! And all the proceeds of the trial go to charity, CLIC Sargent. How better to spend a sunny weekend ?
