I heard that the use of Lauder common may have been lost due to cowboys riding illegally, and that the Plaza trial might not run this year. Can anyone confirm this or is it still possible the trial will go ahead?

My son has recently won 6 youth C class's at centre level in a row and won the centre championship last year. He is now in his second year as a C class rider, so asked the centre committe if he could do the B class championship to which they agreed. The first round of that championship was held on 20/2/05 and he won it by 15 points. I have since found out that the club who ran the trial have given the win and therefore the championship points to the rider who was realy second because they say my son isn't old enough. Without P***ing anyone off what the hell can i do.

Recently I contacted the BBC by email regarding featuring once again the Indoor & Outdoor World Trials results on its ceefax motorsports pages. Their reply suggested contacting ceefax direct which I did, since then nothing I shall now retry but if they were to receive another 100 or even 500 similar requests it might help. Yes I know I can look on these excellent pages but trials should feature on tv after all our Dougie Lampkin has a winning history the equal of Michael Schumacher lets give it a go

Seems that this class is no longer recognised between lack of interest from riders and some importers believe is is no longer a valid class. There are 15 in the Championship class - a couple of new riders, leaving only 35 spaces fot the expert class that 65 have applied for. Should be an interesting championship. If anyone has any strong opposing views to the omission of the masterclass then you must let the ACU know within seven days. Dis

I have a 8 and 10 year old who are starting out on TY80's. I need to find a trials riding park or practice area in or near gloucestershire where I can take them to practice. The local farmer has been very nice but we do not want ot wear out our welcome. We have been to a few local club trials as spectators but they are not ready to enter an event. Can anyone point me to a resource , Listing or specific places where we can legaly practice and get them to the point of confidence so they do not get intimidated by thier first event. Cheers David

Does anyone think its worth considering having a clubman route at the Novogar trials. It would help make up the entry numbers as most clubmen I know find the single route is often too hard for our riding standards. We all know the clubman route in a lot of trials makes the event worth running financially. It may also encourage some of the better two route nationals to think about being a round of the series. Now its not called the clubman championship I can't see any reason not to consider it. Mark T
