Just watched last years Domestic Trials Review DVD. Very good footage of a broad set of events. However the saddest thing was watching the "bonus" footage from the 90's! If ever anybody remarks about the 80's being a fashion minefield I think I'll show them this! And couldn't recognise half the riders as they are so young Still Martin Lampkin sounds the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thinking of making a 650 mile drive to ride the 2 day classic trial on dartmoor on the 8th and 9th of september. What is the situation on foot and mouth? Is it contained? Are all venues running as planned? Anybody from here going to ride also? Lee

Unfortunately the Neath Motor Fred Rist Trial scheduled for this weekend has just been cancelled. The route runs through several farms and some of the farmers were understandably concerned. It is a bitter blow - the sections and 30 mile route all marked after weks of work - and even the weather is glorious. Our sport relies entirely on the goodwuill of these farmers - and we respect their wishes and keep our fingers crossed that this latest outbreak can be contained Apologies to anyone who is inconvenienced - we will be in touch John Collins Neath Motor Club

Hi, I've not done this trial before and after downloading the regs noticed that if you're riding a modern bike you have to do the 'hard route'. Can anybody advise me how severe this course will be? I tend to ride easy / (occasionally) green / clubman routes. Oz

I know this is on the front page, but I also know not everybody reads that. I'm chuffed to bits to announce that TC will be main sponsor of the 2010 Scott Trial. This further affirms my commitment to re-invest income from the website back into the sport so thanks to our advertisers and all of you with "Supporter" badges for making this possible Now - who's up to ride for charity in this year's Scott?! You're not expected to ride the whole event, but we will be looking to put one or more "relay" teams together to help raise funds for the Scott Charities. More info to follow once Perce puts down his Swaledale sheep and provides me with it

As a former patient of the Air Ambulance, can I urge you all to sign this e petition. Which is asking the government to return the v.a.t that the service pay on fuel. This would help the service carry on their excellent work. Hope the link works ok. https://submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/29349 Thank you

Does anyone know if there are any Trials Clubs and Club/Public Practice Areas around the Glasgow area? I have a friend who lives there (Houston) and wishes to take up trials riding but to find out first before he buys a bike. thanks Stephen (nr Durham)

This week sees the Government launch a consultation on post-Brexit agricultural subsidies with an accent on recreational access. Several groups see this as a chance to increase their access to "the countryside", no doubt at our expense. There must be officials from both ACU and AMCA on here - can they tell us if these organisations have been invited to take part and, if not, what steps are to be taken to ensure our voice is heard?
