Here are results from the Champ class from day 1 of the Fun-n-Sun annual trial in Florida, as reported from Charlie Roberts & the gang from the Trials Training Center. I just got back from Colorado about 2am Tuesday morning from the Ute Cup and spent two days in cold rain and hail, checking six sections in all, trying not to fall off the mountain trail on the way up and back from my sections, dodging pack horses on a loop that had a 6" wide track of mud to follow and straight down the mountain on the low side, bouncing over more uphill boulder trails than I thought possible, climbing up and down mud hills all day (well, mostly sliding on my butt) helping riders extracate themselves from the slop and dodging stuff that squirrels were throwing at me. Northernnorm, Just trying to make a connection... I met a gent by the name of Wolfgang at an RV show in Louisville a couple months ago. We got to talking about trials and he said he's a friend of yours. I can't remember his last name, but I figured with a first name like Wolfgang, it would not matter! Do I have the right guy?????

Young Patrick hit the ground running today to take the penultimate round in the US Pro Series. He can relax tomorrow in the final round. (Like he ever lets up?) Good to see Will Ibsen in the list today, taking a solid third after Cody. Seems he ain't lost much riding skills while in school!

At the last WW in Duluth, we find our hero (Ringo) outside the facility during the event, however, not by his own choice. Good news on the FIM Women's trials training camp! Women's World Champ Laia Sanz will be there along with U.S. Women's champ Louise Forsley. The date is moved back one week from the previous scheduled time so as to avoid a conflict with Laia's Spanish nationals, so the camp will be held at TTC on Nov. 10-12, 2006. Please spread the word, as we'd like to see a big attendance from the ladies this November. The cost of the camp is FREE!!!! I just noticed FS1 has the California trials invitational on schedule for 9:30am EST today. 5/2/21 sorry for the late notice but I just saw it.

With Nick putting together a spectacular showing at the endurocross does this open the door to another version of trials racing? I am betting next year there will be a few more trials bikes at the endurocross.

Nutty as it is, I'm spending another beautiful weekend glued to Trials Central. Not totally glued, but stuck enough to return every couple of hours for information about the USA Indoor, the AMA Youth Nationals, the European and World championships. The question of the day. For friends and family or a rabid fan, if you can't make it to the event for some reason or another, how important is it to get timely information about the event? a) Very important Somewhat important c) Not important at all
