So if you are moving up a class next year and your club has started its 2006 season. Which class would you enter?

  3. There will be a conducted small wheels trial at the Castleside Trial this Sunday 17th at Lambshields (see events calendar for location details). There will be hard and easy courses so we can cater for everything from Osets through to Big wheel 80 (or 125 beginners !) Nothing difficult, we will probably be running a morning trial, then a different route of the afternoon (results added together for overall). Bring the kids along - note start time - 9.30am ! This is due to the main trial being a long lap so early start. Hope to see you sall there Sunday Any questions please ask on here and I'll do my best to answer cheers John

This Sunday (30th) Consett Club will be putting a 'practice day' for the kids, running at Butsfield along with the main trial. Most of the kids have new shiny bikes off Santa , so we have decided to let them get used to them with a practice day rather than a trial. Any kids, any abilities are welcome, and if your youngster is new to trials, bring them along for a practice and have a chat about bringing them along next year. We will set a few sections out that they can have a go at, with no pressure or competition - just lots of fun . Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday - get the kids involved - we have a good bunch of kids who will welcome anyone new. cheers…

  7. Consett club have a trial this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday at Bedburn, Wolsingham (see events). On both days there will be a kids route. The club ran a trial there a few weeks ago and it was excellent for kids right from Osets through to the more experienced kids. Banksides, rivers etc

Consett Club start their popular Wednesday night series this weeek at Knitsley Mill Consett (See Events section). This year we will be introducting a kids route. It is a short lap for the main trial so we will be using the main sections (probably not all of them) but puting in a separate easy route suitable for kids. More than likely we will run it conducted and move the kids along the sections. The venue is excellent (woods & banksides) and the car parking is literally next door to a pub ! 6pm start so come along and the kids will have some fun while riding alongside the 'big trial' cheers John

We will be running a kids route alongside the main trial tomorrow at Knitsley. The format will be the same as was done at the last trial, where we used the main trial sections, mofified slightly then rode four times and moved onto the next section. Kids really enjoyed it - a great way to spend a Wednesday Evening. For the parents, at the end of the trial the car park is immediately next to an excellent country pub ! Bring the kids along - as usual nothing dangerous and have some fun ! cheers John

Consett Club will be holding the next round of their popular Wednesday Night trial this week on the 18th at Knitsley Mill. Running alongside the main trial will be a kids route. Plan for this week is set up a couple of sections just for the kids, to let the trial get underway. We will then move to the main route and either use the easy route, or a modified version of the easy route. Kids seem to enjoy it as they feel part of the 'main trial', and also get to ride the 'big route' !! Come along - 6pm start and the kids can have some fun Apologies if anyone turned up last week when we had to cancel - please keep an eye on TC - we will post if the trial is canceled but l…

  12. Started by culprit,

Gents I have a question. I am pretty new and looking at the offerings in 80cc for my boys it is hard to figure out the subtleties between the manufacturers 80cc bikes. If I understand correctly the Sherco 80cc is a full size frame with a little engine? The Beta 80 has a smaller frame and is available in big wheel version and small? I wish we had more interest in Canada so I could just go to a couple dealerships and check them out, but it is hard to find them here at all. thanks

Took my grandson to his first trial on Sunday at Drumcarro-East Neuk of Fife Dabbers venue The club should be congratulated on this absolutely fabulous piece of ground, and for their enthusiasm to extend the lap by acquiring further ground which was used for the first time. Well done!

At our club trial on Monday afternoon there was 70 or so kids riding & only one TY80. I've heard that there hasn't been many sighted in the youth nationals this year either. Is it the end of an era?
