By the looks of it, Stoner is making this look easy, but watching the interviews it is just as much as a battle for setup and tyre choice as any other team. So for getting it right more times than the others and off pole, good on him. Also the best part is no one had previous track data for the change of track direction, which shows the win was even sweeter to skill with team input and not ass or familiarity from previous experience. To see another Aussie on the podium with him (Chris Vermullen) is great to see from my countries point of view, as 3 Aussie riders were in the top 10. Good form coming through. Must have been one of the best MotoGP races of all time to date. For those who missed the dice in the final laps of Yamaha team mates Rossi and Lorenzo was something I havent seen since 500 GP days. To see these guy swap the lead corner after corner in the final lap was simply amazing, and it could have ended in tears if one rider took the other out, real heart in the mouth stuff. The skill level went up a notch watching this, super-human skill pushing the bikes to the limits in 40degC something heat. Whats more is Rossi, Lorenzo and Stoner are on 106 points each in the championship, some competitive racing to come for the next 7 rounds! Who's your money one for this …

Without Jorge Lorenzo racing at Laguna Seca, and the possibility that Dani Pedrosa will not attend, will this open the door for Marc Marquez to further his lead for the Championship? Has he heard of the Cork Screw?

Yesterday's Argentina MotoGP was a good 'un. Congrats to Cal Crutchlow for a fine win. However the main talking point was Marquez's aggressive riding. This was probably caused by a rush of angry adrenaline after being given a 'drive through' penalty for riding in the reverse direction at the start after stalling his engine and then bump starting (ooh, complicated to explain). When given the penalty he was in the lead, but he rejoined the race at the tail end, hence his anger. MotoGP test Catalunya. Day one March 3, 2006. The MotoGP teams returned to Europe this week for the closing stages of winter testing. The teams began a three-day test at the Catalunya circuit, close to Barcelona today with final testing taking place at the Jerez circuit in, Andalusia scene of the opening race of the 17-round world championship series. MotoGP pre-season testing was brought to a close at the 4.423km Jerez circuit, Spain today as the grand prix teams completed their final three-day winter test session in preparation for the gruelling 18-round world championship series that opens at Doha, Qatar on March 10 - the first ever race under the new 800cc capacity regulations. Yes, I know this is a trials site, but it has a MotoGP section so I may as well use it to have a bit of a moan. This morning I received an email from PayPal stating that Dorna (the organisation that runs MotoGP) have grabbed about £125 from my account. This is the cost of viewing the 2020 GPs. Unfortunately I was unaware that this was an automatic payment triggered at the end of the final race of the 2019 calendar which happened yesterday at Valencia. My gripe is that this sum was grabbed without prior warning. Personally I would have preferred an email informing me that this sum was about to be deducted from my bank account and that it could be cancelled if I so wished. …

Yamaha GP points leader Jorge Lorenzo appears to be in line for another Championship Title. Current Champion, Casey Stoner has not seemed to recover fully from that broken ankle accident, and perhaps he'd like to exit his active carreer entact to enjoy the rest of his life, no blame there. Honda's Dani Pedrosa, seems to be on a winning streak and is not likely to catch up to winning the top spot, being he is 28 points behind Jorge Lorenzo. My take on the last three races is: Lorenzo will be happy to accept 20 points for each of the last three races,(2nd place), rather than submit himself to risking danger for the 25 points given to first place. Blimey Rossi in second place...thats rare now. He had been languishing in the mid pack last season but now he seems to have got a new mojo. High track temperatures meant most riders had tyre trouble with degradation and slip which caused at least 5-6 biggies and at least one stretcher case. In the end Rossi failed to make it a win, but it is good to see him out with the front runners.

iv just watched the lastest moto gp event and boy o boy was it a race in the end my favourite rider dani pedrosa fell off on the last lap!!!and he could of won it but it was a a brilliant race!!!

Probably one of the best I can rember for a while and I'm well chuffed with the result.

Casey Stoner (Ducati) powered to victory here at Losail with Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) second and Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC212V) third. This was a convincing win for the Italian factory

Just been looking at the provisional dates for MotoGP next year. Why is it that Spain gets 3 rounds and everyone else has to make do with 1. Its the same with trials, the effectively get 3 again, with Portugal and Andorra only a stones throw away. Is Spain the centre of the universe for Motorcycle Sport as far as the FIM is concerned??????????

Well the Dr did it again! But what about that ride from Casey Stoner!!!! I think Casey will soon be on the podium once he comes to grips the Motmonster. He was on rails for the first 11 laps and then seemed to lose the flow a bit and suddenly it looked like a 250 lapping in the top 5????? Still a bloody good effort just the same(can an Aussie say that here????) Is Rossi at top speed or has he got something more than his arm up his sleeve (as Barry Sheene used to say).
