Hello all This is my first post on the classic part of the forum , to introduce , im from perthshire in scotland , been away from competing for about 10 yrs but , got a bike last year and started again , Ive had a 250 crusader that i rebuilt to std condition a few years ago , i have used it on the hill a few times but its quite a bit more clumsy than a b40 , and ive had a shot of a bullet that seemed to be a lot better balanced and sprung better. I'd like to have a go at the pre-65 trials and if any one had any pointers on the preparation of the crusader to improve it , some have said to put a bullet motor in it , but i have seen a couple of crusaders being …

Hi all, newbie here, I have been thinking about doing some Classic Trials, probably twin shock, I live in South Hampshire and wondered if there was anything happening round here, I cant see any point in buying a bike to have some fun if that means a 200 mile drive and only 3 times a year! Maybe its just that I cant find the info but that's the way it looks... I hope you guys can put me right. Thanks, Phil

I'm old (81+) with a new acquisition of a 1977 Canadian market TY175. I'm way past stand-up motorcycling leg strength, and, so, seeing this bike advertised for a song, I remembered back in the day, Cycle World in the States reviewing the then new TY175 and remarking that it was the best "trail" bike they'd tested. I bought it, thinking it was so light and maneuverable, that it would suit the woods and logging road riding available here on Vancouver Island. I found right away that the foot pegs are too high and far back for my wretched legs to be comfortable in my preferred sitting style, so I acquired foot peg brackets and rear brake pedal from a 1975 DT175. This moved…

Hi. I have an OSSA MAR that I want to compete in local twinshock trials events. Can I ask whether the front number board needs to be any particular colour? I ask as on my road race bikes I have to use certain colour backgrounds; green for 250, blue for 350, yellow for 500, etc..thanks

Just coming home from Donner Pass. For those of you who didn't know there was a two day vintage trials down there. For us up in Portland that meant a 4 day trip but worth every last second. http://tinyurl.com/29wmaf http://tinyurl.com/3xbjur As you can see from some of the pictures, the scenery was spectacular and the traps were outstanding. There was a huge variety of trials bikes. Everything from a DMW (Richard Mann brought that one out. He said it was his wife, Kay's) and a Saracen (I know, I had to look it up too) to tons of really Ariels and Gold Stars along with a ton of Sherpa Ts (and even some Alpinas). This was easily the best trials I've ever been too (grant…
