Hi all, Brand new to the trials world and looking forward to getting out on my "New to me" 2016 Beta Evo 250. So just two things, probably mentioned loads here already but really would like some reassurance on Petrol/Oil Ratio, some say this, some say that. Just don't want to wreck it before I start. So 1 litre of Petrol with 20ml of Oil? that be fine or maybe 25ml? Just not sure. Also I noticed that the rear brake light didn't come on, opened up the cover and to my surprise no bulb, not even the housing that would hold it or wiring... Is that right for this bike? Thanks, Looking forward to asking more dumb questions as I venture into the world of 2 Strok…

Putting the Rev-3 out to pasture... I picked up this '06 2.9 last weekend at the Rock Creek National in Tishomingo, OK. The Beta has been a solid reliable machine, but my brain thinks I'm ready for a change. This new machine is very snappy and it actually turns quite well now that Sherco is using the Beta fork. Thanks to everyone for their help with Beta questions - I'm off to the Sherco forum...

Just wondering whether many Beta riders keep the stock (domino) handlebars or change to Renthals? I know the different dimensions of a handlebar can affect the way the bike feels to ride but is the choice of rise, sweep e.t.c just personnel taste or is there a paticular spec. that suits the Beta better? Cheers Rob

Hi, coming back to bikes/ trials after a long long break, I've bought an 08 Beta 250. Would any of you be able to lend me first hand experience or tips for the sucessfull cleaning/ maintenance - all the common sense stuff that's never in the manuals. For the first few months I'll be in thick clay/ mud stuff on the Chilterns. Shouldn't see too much sand unless I go down Hants way, and I'm staying well clear of rock for a while! Also any mods/ add ons recommended. Cheers

Hi All I have a Beta Rev 3 and love it, but are experiancing a few problems and request some of your experianced advice please.. 1: Sometimes fouls plugs and doesnt start. Its drinking a lot more petrol than my other mates Rev 3 as I always run out way before them. I am going to check the jetting and need to know the standard spec please? previously when it wouldnt start i had petrol/oil leaking out of the exhaust silencer when I was kicking it?? 2: When My bike failed to start last time, I noticed the spark was very weak. Is there a way of testing to prove this? Before I set off to reslove these little problems myself I am hoping some of you can assist. Many thanks…

Hi guys, Can any one help? Whilst out on my bike today I was cruising in top gear on a local lane about three quater throttle when the exhaust note suddenly changed, it sounded like the pipe had poped of from the barrel but when I stopped the rear silencer at the junction to the front pipe had just disintegrated and boy was it hot. Has anyone had this befor?

As the title says really. I'm going to chnage my fork oil. It been in there a while now so I think fresh oil will be a treat for this summers riding. I'm not going to do wipers and seals as they don't leak and I clean them regularly. I was going to use 5WT fork oil. Is that right? From what I've read a 1 litre bottle is ample for both legs. Can I simply remove each leg from the bike once the caps are loosened and tip out the old oil? I was going leave them inverted overnight to let anything else come out. My next step is refill with the amounts in the manual and bolt back together. I'm sure it can't be this easy?

Im missing the little nipple thing which sits on top of the radiator cap on my Beta Rev. What is it for and will it effect the bike not having it? Is it for aiming the water away from you should the bike boil ? Is it part of the pressure release system ?

Hi can anyone tell me the best way to set up the carb on a 2009 evo 250 I just purchased this bike and arrived at the trial to find that fuel was pouring out the overflow. Stripped and cleaned it and it was ok after but the air screw setting got altered and the bike ran terrible all day. Is there a best way to get to a base setting ie turn the screw clockwise all the way and then back a turn? Do you have to pull the knob out before turning it? Is there a manual for this bike at all?

I have a Beta 300 Evo 4t. Great bike. Manual says to run 15w-50 weight syn oil. Tough to get most of the time. I can get 20w-50 or 10w-40, motorcycle based oil fro 4ts ...which would work best with the clutch? I am currently using BelRay 4t Thumper racing 10w-50...not liking the clutch action with this. Anyone use Castor oil for motorcycles? Mobile 1 for motorcycles? Many thanks, Tom

Hey. I got a Beta Rev3 from around 2002-2003- with a 250 ore 270 cc engine. It runs very well at idle , but when I speed, it begins to shoot in the exhaust and go bad . What could this be? I have new spark plug , fresh gasoline . cleaned the carb . Im not sure if the pilot jet is correct adjusted. I did try first with 1 round, then 1,5, then 2 and then 2,5 and then 3 turns, but nothing helped. Any tips? Second thing, Im not sure how old this bike is, i got a frame number x ZD3B9000Y0002660 x Anyone who can help me translate that frame number? On the engine side its written 352C/1 0 1/1. Hi everyone, I recently bought a 2015 250 beta evo and I have an ongoing problem with it running really hot, so much so that it is melting the plastic cover on the exhaust. The fan seems to run constantly as soon as it warms up. I have fitted jitsie high volume water pump kit and it has not made any difference. Has anyone experienced this issue and could possibly offer any solution or advice? thanks, Daz

OK so a few things I've seen on the 2018 make me fairly certain we'll be seeing significant changes to the 2019. I've seen what appears to be much larger electrical capacity on the stator with more coils and a larger regulator/rectifier. An additional vent (pressure tube?) on the fuel filler. A security screw on the intake manifold. Pushing of electrics (CDI, ignition coil, regulator) away from the center of the frame towards outer parts of the bike. So let's speculate, Fuel injection, all the cool kids are doing it. A fuel pump, injection body and ECU need space and power to work. A battery is necessary to make it work first kick. Elec…
