Hi there just wondering if anybody knows a paint code or colour name for the dull 'off gold' colour of the 1987 tarres rep. Can find shiny shiny gold dead easy but that really won't look right, cheers

Just stripping down my 05 rev3 125 after buying it. Its the turn of the carb now. Intrigued as to why the two carb breathing pipes are linked together onto each other. Firstly are these breather or overflow pipes ? Secondly should they be linked or independent?

Had some vertical play on the swingarm. So pulled out the linkage that mounts to the shock. Needle bearings are pretty destroyed, anyone know the code for these and it is two needle bearings sat next to each other?

Are there any recommendations on removing the stop cam on a Rev3? This is the aluminium gizmo under the clutch cover and on the end of the shift drum. It is retained by what looks like a flat head screw but moderate force is not getting the screw to move.

Been riding my bike this summer but am not happy with the carb setup, it is running very rich, signs of this are always being able to start bike without choke, spooge galore and have to rev like three to four long full throttle blast to clean up, then the engine loads up quickly after. I am running 75:1 with very good synthetic two stroke oil (Motul). I do have a little experience with jetting motocross bikes but I see a big difference here, we can read a plug with the motocross as it is pinned out most of the time whereby the trials bike is running slower rpm's so thinking this would be tough to see through color. I have not checked which jet I am running or needle pos…

When installing the jitsie water pump aluminum impeller do you still use the metal spacer between the seal and impeller. After reinstalling my seeger ring it just spins....... Ok after the installation I started the bike up, for the first minute i could hear a whirring sound and then it subsided. Opened the water pump back up and discovered that the impeller was making contact with the pump cover. The outer ends of the paddles where grinded down a little and the inside of the cover had some of the grey coating gone. I believe it has stabilized. Is this normal for the Jitsie impeller to break in. Because the coating got rubbed out of the inside of the cover will this lead …

A perfect example of when you should not take a carb off/apart when your tired. Took my Mikuni BSR carb off my 4T to give it a routine clean. No problem, stripped cleaned, put it back on only to be left with one question. Theres an elbow on the throttle side of the carb that exits from the carb body at the top near the diaphragm , probably half inch in diameter. It appears to be a breather elbow that runs directly into the carb, just below the diaphragm . It looks like a breather pipe should connect but I can’t see one on the bike thats become disconnected . When it’s on the bike the elbow is tucked right out of the way and hardly visible. Has something com…

  17. my brother has a beta 50cc (been bored to a 70) but need more power what is the best size sprockets to put on.

Hi, quick question if I may, which I know may have been covered before on older Betas but this is new. Slight clutch drag ie, not disengaging instantly which is frustrating on a new bike but im told (having never owned one before) that it is common on Beta and will need a good 'running in' and oil change. On questioning the oil type/grade we all seem to have our own personal ideas and preferences indeed reasons why one is better than the other. A couple of dealers suggest either Putoline NANO TRANS or GP10, others with good riders suggest part synthetic, not fully synthetic and others good grade 4T 10/30 or 10/40. Some have recommended a clutch mod but surely that isn't n…

I am looking to buy a tr34 in the next few months and was wondering if there are any common faults I should be looking for when viewing a bike. Also where would be the best places to find one, I've been keeping an eye on e bay but rarely see any for sale. Any advice would be great. Cheers Ross

Hello, I'm new to Trials Central and this is my first post... I decided to have a go at trials, bought a 2013 EVO 300 2T and have downloaded all the manuals and info I could find. I spent a couple of seasons club racing short circuits and built my own 750 Yamahas, so I'm reasonably confident on the tools but specs/settings supplied by Beta seem a bit sketchy compared to what I'm used to from Yamaha. I'm about 14 stone suited and booted and have bought a pair of 10% uprated springs to fit. For the fork, the owners manual says "Note : For screw A (triple tree clamps): torque wrench setting 7,8 : 9,1 Nm" but gives no torque info for the caps or anything else; …
