Hi, I'm struggling to locate a new 260cc piston. JLI do not stock them any more but I wondered if a Beta Zero 260cc piston would fit? However I'm not sure if a water cooled piston can be used in an air cooled engine?

Looking for some advice please on refill quantity for Beta Evo 300 2012. Manual says 550ml but some folk have been advising me to go 75 - 100ml less than the guideline (not too sure I would want to do this)

Hello! just bought a 97 (advertised as a 98 but had gold forks, dougie lampkin rep and says 1997 world champion on the side...) needs a few bits doing to it... what number wheel bearings does it need? (fronts and rears) what type of engine oil..? how do i remove the air filter, seems to have two thick rubber rings holding it down? radiator cap is below the fuel cap and it seems to be a bit loose, is it just bolted to the frame under the 'seat' plastic?? front brake is pretty awful so going to service that the clutch is pretty stiff too! is this standard on tehnos? it's not overly stiff just nowhere near as light as an 07 sherco i rode recently.. but i'm more used t…

HI all! my 290 2011 evo died tonight and as no spark! tried disconecting kill switch checked all wiring conectors spark plug and cap! do evos suffer with sator failure? as i had to replace one on my old rev3! also before it died i have had a fault on my fan and it was running all the time even when starting from cold, i did disconect fan switch and it stopped so i left it connected and thought it was better it going all the time than not at all! would fan running all the time had an efect on stator and made it fail? cheers for any replys.

I've cleaned out the rear silencer on my 2004 Rev3 for the first time......blow-lamped the inner pipe to burn off the crap and then repacked it. But can I blowlamp the front silencer box, or is there some packing in there that I would destroy ?

Looking for some advice with my 2010 Evo 300 4T. The bike has been running fine for some time, but at a trial few weeks ago the carb had come loose from the engine when the rear boot to the airbox had failed. I got it reconnected and it did run for a while, but stalled in a section so I retired. I have replaced the boot to the air box and stripped the carb to blow out the jets and also fitted a new mixture screw. The bike now starts OK, especially when cold but as I ride it, if I hold the throttle slightly open the bike will judder and stall. If you get past the low revs it will rev OK. After a few minutes at tick-over the bike will usually stall. Another th…

I have been trying to set the carb up on my techno as the bike will not rev out cleanly when accelerating. So far I have changed the air box to carb rubber connector to eliminate air leaks, checked the inlet manifold and the reeds and these seam fine with no broken petals. I have put the needle clip into the middle groove and it is still the same! Does anyone know what the standard jet sizes should be so I can check the ones fitted to my carb, this has been very frustrating as the bike starts and idles and unless its revved flat out it performs faultlessly. Andy.

My son wants to fit Boyesen reeds to his 2013 Evo 125! Do you think he will notice any difference in the bike? And if so is it a trade off, do you loss anything in the power range as well as gain?

Did anyone download Billy Traynor's thread from the trials.co.uk forums about float adjustments, etc. for the Mikuni carb? We need to get it re-posted on this forum under 'Bike Specific / Beta', or under 'The Mechanics'; and I need to save it on my PC.

Just thinking out loud...not something I'm gonna do yet, 'cause mines OK... BUT.. seems like quite a few people experience niggling problems with their Beta mikuni carbs...(which I know before anyone gets upset) can be sorted out.... anyway..my point is...it seems on many other bikes like Gas Gas Sherco etc, people switch to a different carb alltogether. Never really heard of anyone doing it on a Rev3....and so I was just wondering why...just curious??... yes probably mindless curiousity..but there you go...any comments will be interesting to me at least

Hi I´m a new member and i have som issues with the rear shock of a Beta EVO 2010. It bottoms out real easy, just small hopps in the garage makes the rear shock hit the rubberthing for bottom out damping. I believe the spring is the original (but not sure) and I have preloaded it to the max. I weigh only about 65kg and it still bottoms out from just small hopps. If I understand it correctly the setting screw on the rear shock controls the rebound damping so the setting of this should not affect the bottoming out. Either way, I have tried this at both max and min, it doesn´t matter, I bottom it out real easy anyways. Today I took the shock out and the spring off. I can…

Hi!, 1) Would a 2018 Beta Evo 200 be quite good to ride in the single trails with a seat and larger fuel tank (Level would be: Novice to intermediate single trails)? 2) Would the OEM Trial's tire be good enough for trail riding or knobby is a must at the very beginning of this experience or if I should try with the OEM Trial's tire to see how they react. Mostly rocky trails with roots. 3) I have lost much physical capacity due to health issues and the +/- 75 pounds weight reduction compared to the X Trainer helps me a lot. Thanks for sharing your experience

I Typed in 2008 Beta Alp out of interest & came across a Beta Alp 200 Trials. The bike can be converted back to trail/Enduro but looks very interesting. The concept looks to be very similar to Scorpa's air cooled 125/143 & 163cc Yam powered trials bikes that can also be converted to long ride. The Beta Alp concept appears better in looks though & has a 193cc air cooled Suzuki engine. I am not sure how to upload images (I'm a bit technically inept like that) but if you want to see it Type in 2008 Beta Alp Trials into Google & it will soon be found on the 1st page. It's a French site I think & it can be translated. Actually its got me interested & I…
